I'd say that'll end up being more than lucrative for them. The ad revenue they're going to generate for Mayweather's first free fight in 10 years will be off the charts.

They've already turned a HUGE profit on that contract. It worked out better for them than they could have imagined. On PPVs alone they turned a profit but PPV weren't the point from Showtimes perspective.
@Ron Swanson did you find the numbers involved with what they made on the contract. I'm just curious. It is very interesting that a Floyd fight will be on network. Funny, his last fight was the highest asked for ppv and now we go for a free view. It will be interesting to see market shares for the fight. I think CBS is reporting they are pleased with the market shares they are getting with boxing events but when I talk sports at work or in public the majority of people I talk to still have no idea of the boxing world. I still pay for both HBO and Showtime primarily for boxing. Especially in Showtimes case, they very rarely have anything that piques my interest.
