The constitution is a beautiful thing. I'm always disappointed when the voting turn out is less than half the country. It baffles me. Having said that our freedom comes with the right not to vote. So when I mentioned my war time service it was actually a reflection of all war time service. I read and watch quite a bit of politics but currently I'm on a world political kick. The world is an interesting place. I have been reading mainly on the politics of the middle east and Africa. Africa got some scary stuff going on. One article I read was called Jahadafrica due to the large amount of radical Islam popping up over the continent.

So although I'm disillusioned with the US political process, I may be a closet conservative leaning more towards libertarian at this point, I will find someone to vote for, as all Americans should, I got me a purple heart bitches.
If the constitution is so beautiful (and I think it is) what do you think about the fact that the executive has effectively consigned it to the dustbin? Hasn't it almost become Caesar politics, a dictatorship with a kind of pretend election pantomime thing thrown in every 5 years where only the most deceptive or outlandish is allowed to get in and continue to carry out war crimes which shall go unpunished as the world simply doesn't have a backbone.
