Not impressed with Garcia there, that was all about Malignaggi being rusty, worn and old.
He was the first time too, but he kept diving into that left hook. Like over and over. It was only a matter of time. Garcia can't box, but he can time a guy.

I think Herrera stole his watch

Herrera isn't as predictable as Khan. I think folks need to go back and watch that fight again. Khan was outboxing him but Garcia was landing flush counters from the go too. Garcia predicted a 3rd round knock out and the ONLY reason he didn't get it was Bayless gave Khan 20 seconds to recover. He hit the mat with 29 seconds on the clock. Khan got up and stumbled and stumbled and stumbled and Bayless just kept asking him if he was okay. It, by every reasonable measure, should have been stopped then. If a guy can't stand upright after 14 seconds you don't continue to ask if they are okay. You wave it off.

Just a thought here before I conk out. How many times do the judges in UFC come up with a controversial decision? I'm just watching a seven foot Dutchman win and he should have won. I'm guessing controversial UFC decisions few and far between compared to boxing.

Last card i watched they talked about how there had been "many terrible decisions" earlier on the card. And they were" thankful they got one right" when the first on tv fight ended. I don't think it happens as often as it does in boxing but also they have a very rah rah theme through all because they all work for the same company. So i don't think they are as judgemental as we are because everyone isn't on the same team in boxing.

I was maybe a bit harsh on Garcia who won a fight fair and square for the first time in a while. It was against a seriously worn Paulie, but he looked sharp. Maybe it was because Paulie has no legs or output or power, but look at me, I am being all harsh again. Garcia should probably have that 3rd fight with Morales at 154 pounds.

I watch ufc almost as regular as boxing n boxing is far worse with the decisions especially the big fights

Nah UFC has a horrible judging problem. It's worse in MMA than it is in boxing, because a lot of the judges in MMA are just boxing judges picking up a gig, who have no clue about the kicking or grappling aspects of MMA and how to score them.

I read that CJ Ross wanted to come and judge MMA. Jesus Christ...

They do use the same commissions and many of the judges. Take into consideration we're also comparing 20 (?) years of ufc to 100 years of boxing. 3-5 rounds to 10-12 and just on numbers and length alone there is literally more room for blind calls and shady dealings. I've seen lists of "top all time bad decisions in ufc" Its catching up

Those cuts that Malignaggi had were ugly, Garcia is too flat footed now and isn't setting up his punches with what was a good jab like before, he doesn't turn his opponent like he used to either, he's starting to remind me of Juanma Lopez, not style wise, but in the regard that it seems that his ego is starting to catch up with him

as for never being high on Malignaggi, that's your opinion and you're entitled to it, but his last 3 losses have only been to Broner (arguably), Porter, and Garcia

he has shown a good chin and crazy amount of heart throughout his career, props to him for trying to take on the challenge, but needs to call it a day, Garcia needs to get serious and start rededicating himself to his craft and take on better opponents, maybe Khan rematch, Bradley, Porter, Maidana, Thurman, or even Provodnikov

Khan rematch would be good for boxing.

Only fight he can maybe win is Kahn, And Kahn might be for cautious this time. But garcia gets outworked by bradley, and smashed by the other three.

Garcia hasnt impressed with his last 3 outings
