Well..... Ordinary $$$ wouldn't necessarily entice him, but Bob Arum $$$ may be enough to persuade him.
Also, being a surgeon with an already stellar reputation would have nothing to lose (and literally everything to gain) by having a name like Manny Pacquiao on his career resume.
What's he have to lose?? "His rotator cuff was severely injured going into the Mayweather fight, BUT after MY procedure, he was 100% good to go and ready to fight again waaay ahead of a normal recovery time." This will look even better for the surgeon when Pac sparks out his next opponent who will likely be on the level of a Chris Algeri fighter.
The medical field is a business as well, bruh. Go into any doctor or psych for an evaluation on ANYTHING, and there will always be some type of diagnoses where you (ideally your insurance company) ends up having to shell out money for a procedure or medication for some type of ailment.
Now, if you have the likes of a Bob Arum feeding you clients on the level of Manny Pacquiao, well good sir, you have just won the medicinal lottery.

All I could find were quotes from Manny's people telling the media that the surgeon said "the operation was successful".

I feel bad for Pac to be honest, there was a ton of pressure on him to finally be the guy to knock out the guy who everyone hates, and he fell short. He not only had the Philippines on his shoulders, but most of the world who want to see Floyd get his ass beat. In letting down so many people, I almost can't blame them for trying to make up the excuse. I wish he could have just said "sorry everyone, tried my best, wasn't my night, thanks for the support", but boxing fans are very hard on those who fail.
