    ~ Guns, Guns, Guns ~

I do believe we do need a new set of 'General Rules' here in the United States.

The NRA should lead the charge, otherwise somebody is going to 'Tax' the hell out
    of ammunition.

Can someone confirm if there is limit on the amount of guns you can own in the USA?

    Sick selfish laws.

Unfortunately there is no limit. It's wide open, so you can claim that you need four machine guns, five shotguns, half a dozen handguns, and two or three high-powered rifles to protect your home and your family. That being said, you can always try your luck and claim you need a rocket launcher and half a dozen hand grenades as well.
@TitoFan. Why should it matter to anybody else how many guns I own? It is not your business. If I use a gun to commit a crime, what crime could I possibly commit that is not already going to catch me an extra 20 years?
The simple fact of owning a lot of guns....if you and I went shooting with 15, 20 different guns, you would be a convert.

    Who knows, grey.... I might.

Still, I think my objection is pretty much summed up below.

Look at the Adam Lanza shooting spree. The guy pretty helped himself to an assortment of all sorts of guns owned by his mother, much like Arnold shopping for guns in that armory in that very old movie, "Commando". The woman, had she lived, should have been brought up on charges of major stupidity on at least two counts.

Having that many guns easily accessible in her home.
And two..... with a mentally unstable son like that, she should've never been allowed to have any guns in her house in the first place.

    It was all too easy.

She had always conducted herself responsibly and legally. Who has ever had a child and thought "my baby is a lunatic that will someday murder me and go on a killing rampage"? And, if we agree that children should not pay for the sins of their parents, how do you justify restricting the rights of a parent based on what their child may or may not do at some future time?

I feel like it's a huge self fulfilling thing, that doesn't reflect the mentality of the owner at all. I've never held a gun in my life, and I'm from a city where nobody ones own aside from the odd legal owner who goes out to the firing range. If I for some reason moved to a certain neighborhood in America, and heard about some violent robbery happening within any reasonable distance of me, I'd want to go out and buy a sawed off shotgun ASAP. Anyone who wants to tell me that makes me less responsible to own a gun would get shot in the face for no reason. FACT.

    Guns, Guns, Guns.

A gun never shot a person on it's own.

Why ever would THAT make you want to own guns (please explain for the Brits)?

Myself..I would own at least a dozen rifles in different calibers built on the AR platform, another dozen bolt action rifles, five or six lever action rifles, at least 200 handguns, and a lot of ammo for each.
At one point I had 43 guns but I had to sell them.
    43 guns.!

    This is the problem.

Why is there no cap on the amount of guns an american citizen can own?

I know it takes one gun or bullet to kill etc but at least put a limit on this from this point onwards..

Look. Here in the United States we need guns. Especially 'Big Game' Rifles.

You see, we have a lot of 'Rosie O'Danimals' roaming around.

Some call it 'The Lou Costello Head'

So grey is "the problem" or people like him are "the problem"? I'm more than willing to test this theory out....@greynotsoold how many people have you shot, killed, threatened, robbed with your firearms?
