I work and make a good living. From what I've read here, you and your woman are on the government take, counting on people who work for a living (like myself) to pay taxes so you can survive. And before that, weren't you one of those "professional student" types, going to university in their 30s or 40s?

Miles assumed quite a while ago now that because I have several long term health conditions I was unemployed and living off benefits. It's the same thinking that made Brock insist that he would never pick a fight with anybody who was anything but 100% healthy, despite my own worry being that he could seriously hurt himself were he to headbutt my right hand.

I work as a facillitator, enabler and note taker for disabled students at all three University campuses in Plymouth, and am also a carer for my disabled Mrs. When I went and paid to do my degree in my thirties, I was also working full time as a legal case worker, whilst also putting both of our kids through Secondary school. I also work as a photographer, run a record label, support local and national charities and make art. None of these things are incompatible with being disabled, though it certainly does not make things easier. So thanks for the condescending attitude but actually I had no option but to go back into education as a mature student. At 16 I was given the local newspaper and told to find somewhere to live. I did not have the luxury then, of furthering my education. That was 28 years ago when you were busy being born.

This might sound facetious, but I think you are capable of far more than taking notes for people. The way you talk you should be into politics and making your own mark. I am not joking either. You are articulate, intelligent and get it. It is not my place to tell someone what to do, but there is an opportunity to be an angry hippy punk and you are one of them. It can happen.

Thanks but seriously with the amount of stuff I do outside of work it is actually a very rewarding job. The most rewarding I have ever done. Helping people far more disabled than myself is pretty humbling tbh. Taking notes in subjects that are not my own specialty is actually incredibly taxing for me. The first time I supported someone doing higher maths as part of their computer science degree I actually thought the four page equation was a practical joke or Arabic I quite like the NHS medical stuff because that is very organised and fact filled so the time lies by. There is also a lot of practical support and training in sensory impairment, autism etc is actually quite interesting.

I do a lot of social/political stuff outside of work. Only a couple weeks ago I was working for the index on censorship and last week for shelterbox. That is far more effective and less degrading than politics for me.

That's cool. I just sense with your intellect you could really up the pulse. If you are happy then that is always cool too. With the Corbyn thing it just feels to me like he needs all the help he can get amongst these Labour trolls. There are good people in this world and they will not be bribed, but they have to understand that they are not so different. What am I, your biographer? I read things here, maybe they're right, maybe they're wrong. It's of little consequence to me to be honest because I don't really care. I don't assume one thing or the other because I don't have a vested interest in it. I don't wish a shitty life on anyone, it's not like I'm going to rejoice because some guy on the Internet I've never met might be in a bad way.

I know a lot of guys who run record labels, make art, make music, and support various causes. The majority of them contribute very little, make garbage art that means nothing to anybody but themselves, and constantly wax philosophical about what's wrong with the world and what people who work steady jobs and pay a lot of taxes are doing wrong and how they're messing the world up. Running a record label, taking photographs, making art... these are personal hobbies, sir. Unless you're doing it professionally and paying taxes on your work.

It would be shit if life were as black and white as you make it Mr Flicker. Ignore for a minute my day job or any of the other ones before it and tell me when does something cease to be a hobby? Only when you get paid? So when I waive my fee as a way to contribute to a charity who use my images in their print and Web material does it then revert back to being a hobby? What if I volunteer to mentor a group of artists and help them to not only exhibit but win an award for that exhibit/Installation does it then revert back to being a hobby? If money is the only way you can attribute value to something then you are going to miss out on a lot of rewarding experiences and opportunities. Also maybe you should stop busting the balls of your pals for the same reason or get some friends you can respect.

I know this all started from your flippant remark about never trusting hippies or punks because they supposedly contribute nothing but we both know that is just hipster talk for "I earn enough to wax my facial hair and buy the most organic whey powder on earth ".
