    Tuesday ~ July 31, 1973

    International Center Arena ~ Honolulu, Hawaii

    Main Event > ........ Chango Carmona vs. Shinichi Kadota

    Danny Lopez - 19-0-0 {19 KO's} ~ 123 1/2 lbs. ~ 5' 7 1/2' ~ {Age; 21 years, 0 months}
    vs.
    Ushiwakamaru Harada - 30-15-11 {13 KO's} ~ 124 3/4 lbs. ~ 5' 4" ~ {Age; 25 years, 8 months}

    Danny 'Little Red' Lopez is still rated as the #5 WBC and #5 WBA Bantamweight, though he's
    been campaigning at 122 lbs. for the past year-and-a-half.

    This will be Danny's '1st-bout' outside of California.

    Ushiwakamaru Harada is the younger brother of former World Bantamweight Champion
    'Fighting' Harada.

    Ushiwakamaru has been campaigning since 1965, and is an experienced 8-Year Professional.
    He's a former 2-Time Japanese Bantamweight Champion
    * March 19, 1967 -thru- January 4, 1968
    * October 24, 1968 -thru- November 26, 1969

    Currently, he's ranked as the #3 Featherweight in his home country.

    Harada is a fast and powerfully-built brawler, who is very tough, as he comes barreling
    straight in with winging punches.

    ~ Danny Lopez In Wild 2-Round War, Scores TKO ~

    ~ Lopez Finds Himself In Another Battle ~

    Danny 'Little Red' Lopez saw 'red' Tuesday Night, as he was again battered in the 1st-Round of
    another bout, before coming back to score a stoppage over his opponent.

    In the Opening Round, Japan's Ushiwakamaru Harada came out by firing a series of over-hand
    rights into Lopez', driving the undefeated fighter into the Ropes, where he took a one-sided
    hammering from the Japanese fighter's fists.

    Lopez had his face reddened, as he was tagged by numerous right-hands to the head and face
    during a 3-Minute onslaught.

    But in Round, 2, Lopez was able to get some distance over his shorter opponent, and came back
    with hard left-hooks and stiff right-hand leads as Harada moved forward and walked into 'jarring'
    punches from Lopez.

    By the {2:00 Mark}, Harada had blood drawn from his nose, and he was sporting a cut over his
    right-eye.

    Lopez unloaded a barrage on Harada over the last 25-Seconds of the 2nd-Round, that had the
    Japanese fighter on wobbly-legs at the Bell.

    In between Rounds 2 and 3, the Ringside Physician checked out the cut over Harada's right-eye,
    and deemed it too serious to allow the bout to continue.

    It will go down as a TKO 3 win for the still 'undefeated' Danny Lopez.
