Braddock was considered more then shot prior to his outing against Max Baer.
Walcott was never going to ko Ezzard Charles
Nobody expected Zivic to beat Armstrong coming off that incredible run.
When Robinson entered the Turpin fight at 128-1-2 nobody expected what took place.
Kirkland Laing was just punched out by a guy who lost as much as he won before he was offered up as a sacrificial lamb for Duran.
Speaking of Duran after losing to Laing and getting schooled by Benitez most people thought he was done when he was to meet the new gens Davey Moore. Duran was supposed to be his name rec bust out fight.
How many people picked Honeyghan to beat Curry?

    Shit happens.

There are degrees of shit. The degree of shit that would have to happen for Berto to beat Floyd is incalculable!
    Fact! As Fenster would say.

Look joking aside the guy is a human being that is close to 40 and has been boxing for close to 2 decades. A guy that was mauled by the one dimensional Maidana largely cause he was also unconventional. The easy time he had with Manny was predicted years ago when both were in their prime. The only difference then would have been that a better version of each would be experiencing the same thing. Anyway you cut it the results would have been a Johnson and Johnson shampoo commercial.

One thing many of those crazy upsets share is that Atgs were timed out and not at their best but that was reversed in some cases for added longevity but it can happen to anyone......yes friends even Floyd. Floyd with few exceptions has been fighting the same fighter for over 10 years and Berto for all his faults in previous fights could pull something out of the bag along with his unorthodox athletic approach.

    Anybody see Berto's open workout pics? http://www.newsday.com/sports/boxing/an ... 1.10788768

Something looks off with all that mass. His stomach looks weird like a couple of organs have enlarged. The guy is a tank. Coming off a cycle or recently finished one? Floyds testing regiments will certainly add a degree of flatness to his performance after the opening salvo.

Undercard is looking good, shame this one is a million times better than the Mayweather - Pacquiao one.

@Tam Seddon can you list the undercards. I'm one of the idiots who may be this fight but I will not do so if the undercards aren't great. I have to say that Floyd is very good at making his fights events. I think Floyd v Berto is a shit fight but it's a night I can completely gorge on boxing. I don't know, I'm fifty fifty right now, haven't seen the price yet either. If my buddy can make it and split the bill I'll go for it. Floyd is Floyd, he can be boring to watch but a thing of beauty as well. Anyone else get in my dilemma, order the fight then hate yourself for doing so. It's not like you can get this one thinking Floyd will lose.

Those are some exciting names on the undercard, and they'll likely compensate for whatever Floyd-Berto might or might not bring.

Thanks much Tam, looks like I'm going to put in for the night off work and get it. I'm just bothered by the fact Floyd is fighting someone who has lost to someone Floyd already beat. I know the argument, Floyd has earned the right to fight whoever he wants which has validity but this seems like reaching into the bottom of the barrel. Floyd made Guerroro look like a flailing amateur and he beat Berto. And don't get me wrong, I've been a Berto fan for years just not a fan of this fight. I really hope Berto doesn't punch himself when he misses Floyd all night.

I'll say this now Rocco, if Floyd truly retires after this fight my respect for him will grow immensely. I fully expect him to go for 50.
