Shannon Briggs could have worked his way up the ladder already but he won't fight anyone worth a damn.

Mike Marrone ffs. Off a 4 yr retirement where he was destroyed by a 40 years old cruiserweight.

Briggs is all buffed up bluster but he won't take off the slippers and leave the couch to crash the division.

That is the standard Briggs is fighting? How can that justify a fight with Wlad.

These days you don't have to sadly. Just talk loud and have fans remember that one time you staggered Lewis almost two decades ago . On the flip side...there have been more than a few guys who couldn't be justified as Wlad challengers. Pianeta for example. He knocked Marrone out five long years ago.

How do you define the word deserve?

Do You deserve it because you're merely active?

Or because you are a better fighter?

For example, Pianeta is ranked 60th HW in the world on boxrec and he fought Wlad... However Briggs is 12 places higher than him at 48th HW in the world. So does Briggs deserve a shot based on this? Probably not.

It comes down to who sells a fight! I wanna see Briggs vs Wlad a LOT more than Wlad vs anyone else.

Yeah , now he's 60th ranked on Boxrec. When he fought Wlad , he was ranked in some or all of the governing bodies' top 10, was 28-0 and was European champ. He'd beaten as many names as the Fury's and Chisora's of this World, yet is always given as an example of some cabbage that Wlad has fought.
I guarantee that if he was a Brit, nobody would've said anything like that. And if he was a Brit, people on here would've been giving him a chance based on his record.
