Joshuas next fight will answer a few questions and may derail him for a bit.

In fact when you compare theorr records tey are suprisngly similar. Tyson faced better opp earlier as with McDermott but on his 14th fight he faced Nascimento who was unbeaten and was then in his 15th fight facing Chisora. So not much in it.
Tyson faced better opposition in his first 14 fights than AJ?

Joshua hasn't faced anyone of the quality for Sam staff or Donnie Long.

I'm assuming you are asking regarding Mike. Anthony's comp over his first 14 is much better then Tysons. Mike however had beaten all 14 in about 8 months. Tyson never got the coverage Anthony gets over the same 14 but once he got rolling the timing was perfect. He got in on the technology explosion.

Sorry, I haven't had wi-fi much today. I genuinely thought you were comparing AJ with Mike Tyson! Hence the short, sharp reply. If it's with Tyson Fury, AJ has been a million times more impressive. Infact, I would tip AJ after 14 fights to beat Fury now, whereas I wouldn't tip Tyson Fury of 14 fights to beat Tyson Fury of now (if you get my drift.)

Fury is better known by the public than the 2012 Olympic gold medal winner? Fury isn't half the draw Joshua is. He has never headlined a venue that holds more than a few thousand.

Joshua just headlined the 02 (15,000 punters) for a Commonwealth title fight against an opponent that most "hardcore" fans wouldn't have known and has now sold out the 02 (20,000 tickets) in mere hours for a British title fight (and is so popular with the casual fans it will be PPV).
    Er yes he has.

He was the main fight on the Excell arena dhow that 20,000 went to

I really hope no one is trying to compare AJ with Mike Tyson.

He's similar in the sense that he's a novice flattening a load of stiffs, but he hasn't shown anywhere near the same level of skill in doing it.

You only had to take one look at young Tyson to know he was something very special and exciting. Joshua just looks like a big guy who can punch at the moment. He's more Frank Bruno than Mike Tyson.

Eubank jr-Billy Joe sold that card. His fights either side were in a half empty Copperbox (which holds 7000) and a 85% empty O2.

Could be applied to plenty of heavyweights today, but not AJ! Right?

AJ still needs to "learn" that.

Ah now come on, your stipulation was that hes never headlined a big show and he has so haha I win!

Wuite a few on here were of the thinking that Chisora was now in shape and he was going to batter Fury. Quite how most on here are totally writing Fury off against Wlad.

    You will see petal

I don't see the AJ comparison with Bruno. Maybe in the beginning but not now. He's not just improving - loosened up - with experience but you can see the confidence oozing (lol at using that word) out of him.
