If you want to be outraged you don't have to look very hard. Two or three people are not even really a minority group. If a bunch of white facist skinheads were to go and kick the crap out of them should they be tolerated ? Would they represent other white Christians?

A huge percentage of Christians believe that if you do not accept Jesus you are going to be tortured for eternity in Hell and are quite happy to insult you by telling you so. It's just like a daily fail argument. The guy in the video pretending that where you are born makes no difference, is as self deluding as Miles in pretending these things do not matter. How can you ever have a true respect for other countries, customs and histories if you can not embrace your own? Immigrants have shaped this country, it's language, customs, traditions, cuisine, and culture since day one, but this land has also shaped those people, whether they be conquering armies, traveling merchants, foreign workers or those born here.

It's true that most of the east end cockney's have moved out to Dagenham or even Essex and that is a great shame. Many of the people that have replaced them are ignorant of that areas rich history let alone the wider British Isles and they should be ashamed. Foolish men who pass that stupidity among themselves and pretend it is somehow enlightening and revealing of some greater truth.

Hmm, not really sure why you are comparing me to the bloke in the video and feel the need to call me self deluding as I ain't deluding anyone. It has been a relatively clean thread free of personal baiting and you were the one asking for there to be less of that recently, so calm yourself down.

I will always consider myself British and have a very thorough understanding of my country. It means I accept the good points but will not lie about the bad. I think he makes a point. Let's assume he was raised by dominant Muslims in a restricted upbringing, then how could he share 'British' values? It doesnt define him. Where I think he is wrong is finding small pockets of similar support to try and force change on ordinary British people. As an immigrant that peculiarity hits home in a Monty Python kind of way. I dont share much in common with someone like that and really only aspire for more traditional British based systems of fairness and the end of financialisation. If Sally wants to pet pissed and hang out with gay George then I couldnt care less. The only thing I would likely agree with this man on is war.

It's strange, I see mention of MRC which I am not familiar with but it is a sixty minutes segment which is regular network and left or liberal leaning in the US.

I think he did well to embarrass himself sounding like a thick child. He has zero concept of individual freedom or that his 'choices' stop at another mans feet.

On the flipside, in a way it looks similar to religious zealots we have here in some areas. I cannot walk into some public stores without three women shouting "repent and he shall forgive you of sin" at every single customer.
