Slim, just a quick mention, alien life would not affect religion. If we, being religious, say life can not exist other, we are limiting God's creative ability. So it is quite contrary, saying life can't exist other than earth may be the anti religious view.
I disagree. Alien existence can have a deep impact on people whose religions claims the universe's creator sent himself down to die for us. Or he impregnated a woman to bring forth one who would die for our sins.

Is the god doing this for other life forms on other planets?
Maybe these aliens are the angels the bible speaks of? Creating aliens (angels) that have far greater power than we?

If aliens came to earth- & we could communicate with them -- I dunno 'bout what U'd ask; but I'd ask them-
1. Who is your creator?
2. Does the creator have a nemesis? We do- it's called devil who has aids called demons.
3. Did your creator send himself or a representative to be murdered for your failure (on earth dear alien we call it sin-
4. Did your creator make anything- that existed in your domain- as something to look at but don't touch/eat? We do. On earth we have a creator who made a forbidden tree-
5. We have a creator that not only placed this forbidden tree in our midst, but allowed his nemesis to question why we shouldn't partake.- the result- is to be consumed by what we call fire. Duration=eternity.


Personally, I think there is life form somewhere in the cosmos. I think their supreme being is ours as well. But the manifestation of the creator's creation doesn't have to look anything like us.
Based on their elements on their planet could mean they will look different-behave different.
Probably free of religions -like ours.
