    Default Alien v Predator

There has been a lot of intelligent and sophisticated threads about Human evolution and races so in line with that (not) who is stronger Alien or Predator, one on one, who wins?

    I absolutely love* Alien.
The look, the whole mystique... the savage way of life.

I saw the Predator stuff but wasn't drawn in by that alien at all.

I had that DVD on my dresser for about 4 months.
    Belonged to a freind.
I tried the movie twice & fell asleep.

Bottom line (to me) is that there is no way Predator could whip Alien even with 10,00 little girls on it's side.

    Alien rocks.
C'mon, if you bleed acid, you win.

Predator has 'feelings' doesn't it? I think I remember seeing it get all 'fuzzy' before...
    Fatal flaw.
Alien has an insect's survival instinct, not confusing & cerebral like Pred.

Quote from Alien (not exact) regarding acid blood... "It has a great defense mechanism... Don't dare kill it."

    No doubt in my mind.

still going to go with the predator on this one.....he thinks therefore he is not prone to irrational action as much as the alien...he can work around traps and the like...the alien would just try to go through the trap....like bugs to light..oh wait..you mean that light is attatched to 20000 volts..ZAPPPP!!! there you go...
It feels good to be back home.

It depends on the mthod of combat allowed. Hand to Hand (claw to claw?) an Alien would kick a Predator's butt every time, but if the Predator was allowed to use its arsenal of weapons you'd have to go with the Predator.

I think it should be a fair fight though mano a mano, or beasto a beasto and in that case Predator gets mauled and disolved to death very quickly.

I'm going with the Alien. Predator is built like a man and seems slow and clumsy like a man. The Alien is speedy and that spiked tail comes out of nowhere like a one punch KO.

I only saw the film last week, so it got me thinking to ask the forum but from the film the Predator needs the armour everytime he took it off he got killed by the alien. With all the weapons at his disposal especially the "frizzbee star" with blades that cuts everything he was killing loads of aliens. In fact they used them for hunting practice and an initiation rights of passage for young predators to go through. Also when all else fails they set off the bomb and blow everthing in sight, cannot beat that.

I don't need to be "smoking anything" to still feel the horror from when Dallas got to that 4way intersection in the air ducts of the USS Nostromo & blasted fire down the ducts in a failed attempt to scare the Aliens back into the air-lock then firing them out into space forever, all the while that one girl @ mission control who was monitoring the crudely rigged together motion detector, screaming into the 2-way communicator, "There's movement Dallas!!! Theres movement all around around youCan't you see them
Oh God Dallas there are RIGHT THERE!!! Get back here Dallas... Just get back here NOW!!! Gooo Dallas!!!! Move Move Gooo!!!" etc.

Then there was a big scary face... an echoing, lung emptying bellow of pain...
    And silence.

At least thats the way I remember it.

Just think how I'd remember it if I were smoking something?

Predator easily. He can always just set off his suicide nuclear bomb or whatever it was and win that way.
