These pedophile/sex offenders can be middle class or working class, Muslim or Christian.

    They need to be castrated.

I don't disagree Master, I don't disagree. That said, in some cases common sense should prevail like if there's a 19 year old going out with a 16 year old which has happened before and if the 19 year old is a boy sometimes the 19 year old is vilified and prosecuted....it has happened before. And that is also why I am so adamant about rape being actual rape and not some of the PC nonsense that people want to shove under the banner of rape. Rape is fucking real, it's awful, and it shouldn't be trivialized in the court of law when some jackass gets their feelings hurt over something that isn't technically rape (and again, this kind of shit has happened as well).

But if there is a culture or a religion or anything that is harboring rapists, trying to excuse rapists (the actual rapists, not the bullshit PC "rapists") then those cultures and religions need to get educated, everyone needs to get on the same page and work together to keep these kind of things from happening again.

Exactly, Lyle. It's a matter of education and movement into the 21st century in terms of how people should be treated and regarded. That's why it was the most uneducated and isolated section of society that did these (revolting and illegal) acts. They should go to jail for that. they groomed and raped thick drug addicted young girls.

Saying that it's a 'cultural' issue is not only pandering to people's sense of victimhood but also fuelling the racist element of society and driving even more wedges into our cities.

The wholly unbelievable failure of our Social Services to discover and act on this was criminal in itself. Many, if not most, of the victims were apparently in the care of Social Services ..... But, funnily enough, nobody has been fired!

The local council decided that they would not talk about this or really do anything about it, because they were afraid of being labelled as racist. Plus, of course, the Pakistani vote is very very important for their unpeeled and pointless careers.

The whole thing was a perfect storm of circumstances, poor judgement and fear of offending the PC brigade.

Brits do seem to think we have fewer race issues than you do in the States (and, having lived in both places, I do tend to agree). Race is also a sensitive and problematic issue in the UK, but it does tend to be less overt and more subtle than in the U.S., which of course makes it even harder to address.

What people also do not mention is that these sex offenders may have tried it closer to home and within their (extended) family. There may be more hidden victims.

Very true and if it is an issue among refugees, like Australia is having a Hell of a time with their UN camps for refugees (which I guess is what you'd refer to them as)...then victims might be less likely to come forward and/or trust law enforcement because of their interactions with law enforcement in their home countries could have been bad ones.

Yes absolutely, and this is why we cannot tolerate "no go zones" and let's not kid ourselves there are a few out there. The "no go zones" aren't specific to any 1 group, many groups have them and mostly they are "no go zones" due to extreme violence.....that can't be allowed ever at all. The laws of the land must be enforced, they must be applicable to all the strongest to the weakest the richest to the poorest.

I'm not saying "it's a cultural issue" I'm ASKING if it's a cultural issue because if it is it should be addressed. Asking questions about it shouldn't be frowned upon either, I want a greater understanding of what is happening, what is going on, and what is causing it...if it's people who are misunderstanding a religion then educate them as they are being rehabilitated in prison. And if it's NOT a cultural or religious thing, then all the better to make certain people understand that so any kind of racism or xenophobia is quelled.

People in charge of protecting and serving the community that allow for such things to happen AND the lawmakers that allow for such things to happen should be held accountable.

The local council that allowed this to happen for fear of being labeled racist or to advance their political careers has by their dereliction of duty created fodder for racists....surely that must be addressed no?

Where did you live in the states? Also thank you for taking the time to reply to me.....some people get too angry....which hell I can anger some people I admit it sometimes I even try to piss people off (it's kind of what the internet is for, anonymously pissing people off),but also the internet makes it difficult to infer the tone of a post.

Isn't this ban only in public schools? We screwed those up decades ago but its good to see a City Mayor have priorities in order, ya know. As opposed to the whole reading, writing and actually showing up to class stuff.

Halloween is probably one of the first good experiences with using imagination for kids. Remember making your first costume? School and Halloween parties started shit for me. In the 4th grade I dressed up as a "zombie". Torn pants, great half mask half make up. Out teacher gave out costume ribbons of all types. Scariest, most creative, historical etc etc. My ribbon was "most hysterical costume" Not exactly what I was going for . The next year I dressed as "Burglar". Boots, levis, camo jacket and the topper was a pull down ski mask worn as a hat. On the way to school I was stopped by two cop cars after someone reported me as suspicious and advised to leave the ski mask in the principles office for my ol man to pick up. No ribbon that year

My elementary school used to have a Halloween/Fall Fair....we had a dunk tank, bobbing for apples, a spooky maze made out of big cardboard boxes, lots of games and prizes and this was after school so children and parents could meet each other, make new friends, see old friends, meet and interact with the teachers, inspire a sense of community with some harmless fun and general merrymaking.

Sounds exactly the same. And yeh there was always that kid who didn't participate for whatever reason. We had a kid named Jake who always sat out and just watched but it never once got to the point of kids ridiculing him or him feeling "left out" News flash..no one cared. After the tiny fair he'd sit there and we'd pile boxes of Milk Duds and whatever candy we caught from the Halloween piƱata on him and he ate that shat up. Adults sitting around legislating so that kids will not be left out or made to feel alone in school Can you show me a single child who didn't at one point or another feel left out and alone in School? Shit, frankly it looks like some kids need more alone time today. I can't fookin imagine being in constant flip of a switch contact with every friend I had back then, like one huge glued group of codependent cattle. Off of an old geezer rant there...carry on
