The problem is the fighters finish and then wait maybe five minutes for a decision, and then mentally as well as physically have to get ready to fight another three minutes knowing they have to win the round...
Although good on paper, I can understand why it was just not practical in the end.

It definitely would have had an impact on the DLH/Mosley fights
Taylor/Hopkins I and II
Taylor/Winky
Chavez/Meldrick Taylor
That's why at the age of 51 I could take half of their asses even today I am old school I would get in shape and take these young assholes asses
Whether it is thirteen rounds to ensure a tie breaker or fifteen rounds to decisively show you are the best, knowing that distance is greater is an unwanted inspiration to come in,in shape because it shows that you truly earned the word champion. It is equality in competition. You know the rules and there is a lesser chance for controversy but then there will always be those that complicate matters and they have a name, pain in the ass.

15 rds is much more appealing, if its a draw after 12 rds then its a deserved draw and neither fighter deserves to lose, why force a loss on someone who didn't deserve it
They should go back to 45 rounds

I think so but the reason they were dropped still remains. Economics not safety and the overriding problem today would be the fact that 80% of the fighters today could not fight 15. Entire training regiments would have to be changed. Half of the elites today are gassed by round 6.

Interesting question because new gens always go on and on about science, technology, sports medicine, nutrition bla bla bla and the results show anything but advancement. In many ways its devolved. Its as if they train for highlight reels and 6 round fights. I doubt a plan B is ever mentioned.
Its a knockout or bust era. Boxers get ignored or labeled boring. Its asinine.
Instant gratification. Boxing has become an app on a tablet lol.
