Rocky Marciano actually proved that the phantom punch was a real punch more than anyone else ever proved it before. Rocky Marciano was sitting 11 feet from where clay planted his rear foot and thrcrew that anchor punch. He said that Clay initially through 50% of the punch without anything behind it but then seeing the opening at the time turned it over using torque nd torsion from his right oblique meaning his right waist with the muscles in his waist along the rib cage and because of that additional torque the final 50% of the punch traveled with suddenly increasing force and definitely made a sharp impact on a listontd left jaw which was a sweet spot

"Well, he missed out on a lot." ........

    @walrus , yes he was

    Muhammad Ali (2015)

"Yes, Bill Paxtom has stalked me my entire career. I all started when I turned down his amorous advances, telling him that I'm straight and only like women. Since then he's never given me a moment's peace."

Jayne Kennedy ....... USO Tour 1971

"Yes, I went. It was about supporting the good men and women of the United States Military.
It was not about our Government's Policy."

"You know, the beef between Cassius and the United States Government was over. The court case was settled."

"But, he could have shown support for our boys and girls over there in 1971. I will never forgive
    him for that."

    Jayne Kennedy >

"Yea, Muhammad Ali wanted to meet us. We told him that we were going to Vietnam. And I said that
if he wanted to meet us, he would have to come over to Southeast Asia and visit us there."

"He started to 'stammer and stutter' like a Scaredy-Cat. He said he was busy, and that he he didn't want
to get his nice clothes dirty."

"He was no man. No, not in my book."

"All I know is that Muhammad called me at least a dozen times, and begged to see me.
But I told him that I was going to South Vietnam."

"I said if you want to see me, then you will have to visit me there at 'Mui Ne Beach'. I waited for him
in my Bikini. He never showed up. That Chicken Dick."
