I think Tyson Fury will get better. No one will look good against Wlad unless they spark him out and he is too good for that.

Wlad is too cautious to get sparked

That is what I meant, wlad has his style of survival which is holding and mauling which he has perfected to an art. You can tell wlad is fragile and has confidence issues because poor fighters he faces he takes too long to stop them and anyone remotely dangerous he hugs and leans on them.

So now Wlad doesn't even credit for knocking opponents out? Bloody hell

You don't read very well, do you.

    He gets credit.

But you'll forgive me if I don't bow at the altar of the Great Wladimir Klitschko The Greatest Heavyweight Boxing Champion in the History of the Universe... ok?

Some of you need to loosen the grip on your blinders.... they'll give you a killer migraine.

My contention..... and bear in mind these are all opinions, just like you guys in the Hail Mighty Wlad Fan Club have your own..... my contention is that just to blabber that Wlad defended his title for 10 years, blah, blah, blah..... yadda, yadda, yadda..... doesn't amount to a hill of beans to me. As with any empty shell of a number, you need to look past that. How did Wlad do against the key opponents in his career? Forget getting the damn "W". How did he perform against Haye? Sultan? Povetkin?

Finally.... along came Fury with all his faults, quirks, annoying personality, and controversial views on life. He also came along with the size to equal Wlad's..... and a confidence that unnerved Wlad and brought his REAL FEARS out so everyone could see. His fans were in denial all these years..... but Wlad proved some of us right once and for all.

    No "cojones".

You're not a Wlad fan, but you're defending him. And no "extreme polarity" here.

Except you only want to see one.

Fury avoided Price because he is a giant like him. So not so different to Wlad.

Fury never went all out to go toe to toe with China chinned Wlad despite assuring everyone he was a fighting man to the core. So just like Wlad.

You insisted the only reason Wlad got knockouts was the unwillingness of his opponents to engage. That makes no sense and Fury is hardly Mr excitement either.

We have watched Fury for years on small Hall terrestrial TV show cards fighting bigger bums than Wlad has been fed so most Brits know Fury as cautious as he can be, will at some point be sparked out.

That may be by Wlad in a rematch, a smaller fighter like Haye or a supposedly overhyped prospect like Anthony Joshua. Until then props to him but as ridiculous as it seems I don't think, unlike Ross, that Fury is the second coming of Ali.

    I didn't know that.

Admittedly, I would've liked to see more from Fury. But in a battle or contest of who does less..... Wlad was the clear and runaway winner. Why should Fury risk a Hail Mary shot, when he had Wlad thoroughly defeated and embarrassed?

You insisted the only reason Wlad got knockouts was the unwillingness of his opponents to engage. That makes no sense and Fury is hardly Mr excitement either.

Yes is does make sense. Did you watch the Wlad-Austin fight? Disgraceful. A giant of a man, and yet he went into the ring like a puppy who has just wet an expensive rug. All he needed was the "Please hit me" sign pasted to his chin to complete the picture.

Again you have one over me there.

See my comments above. There's several categories of us fans here. There's Ross.... pretty much in a category by himself (especially if he feels Fury is the second coming of Ali)..... there's Lyle, yourself, and a handful of others.... who still defend Wlad and his style of fighting...... and there's others of us in the middle somewhere. I haven't seen enough of Fury to make strong statements one way or another. I saw the Cunningham fight, and was surprised to see such a big man floored by a LHW. On the other hand, Fury did get up and knock Cunningham out afterward. For this fight, I wanted a knockout of Wlad and was disappointed Fury didn't go for it harder. But I understand that a big powerful guy like Wlad will take a free shot if he gets one, especially if his own chin is in no danger. So why throw away a perfectly good victory by making a stupid mistake.

Here's the fine line between us: I credit Wlad with his knockout victories because they have occurred. Can't deny history. But with my fine-toothed comb, I discredit them at the same time because Wlad NEVER TAKES RISKS going on the offensive, which every other HW fighter in history has done in their fights. Not only that. Wlad will use whatever means necessary, legal or otherwise, to keep his chin untouched. Very unforthcoming for a HW champ, IMO.

Then you must apply the same to Fury. Who had to put the relatively tiny Cunningham in a headlock to knock him out. If you had read my pre-fight posts you would have seen me refer to Fury/Wlad as the Starsky and Hutch pilot "The Turkey and the Octopus". Wlad's performance against Povetkin was a disgrace as many of his fights have been. I have said so on many occasions.

Ok, so we're not that far apart in this particular continuum.
Difference is you're apparently a lot more familiar with Fury than I am.

I'm still ecstatic Fury defeated and embarrassed Wlad, because IMO that reign had to end. People had turned away from the HW division in droves. Let me mention a good Klitschko fight for the ages, which all fans enjoyed...... Vitali vs. Lennox. Now THAT was a heavyweight fight. So you see.... I'm much more of a Wlad hater than a Fury fan. And I hate the "fighting" style, not the man. Need to make that clear.
