They are back in talks with Wilder and are also trying to persuade the IBF to allow Hughie to challenge for the IBF.
As poor as the opponent was Hughie still needs to get out and throw punches. If he had another Rudenko willing to get in there then they wouldnt need to have him fighting every other week but as it is he has to stay active or risk losing any rankings.
I don't blame the fighter one bit. But if he's a possible contender, with fights like Wilder and the IBF Strap being bandied around,
then he should be arranging fights for 3 months down the line, with top drawer fighters, a good 6-8 week training camp and focussing on a particular opponent and a particular gameplan.
I don't believe there are very many fighters out there that won't fight him, I think maybe him and his team may have to sacrifice a little more to get them in the ring, whether that is Money, Location or whatever. If they believe in him, they have to back the project.
