    Agree with Ross - he didn't compare them from what I read.

    Just stated his beliefs and what they were founded on.

    I can see why some took offence but in this day and age everyone takes offence at something

    I remember Glen Hoddle losing the England job on something ridiculous he said way back. I forget what it was exactly, something to do with the disabled - but taken totally out of context

    I think Hoddle said that he believed in Karma, and that disabled people were paying the price for what they did in a previous life , or something like that . It was supposedly an "off the record" discussion with some prick of a reporter that overstepped the mark.
    Hoddle may be a bit of a weirdo, but he shouldn't have lost his job over it, and England shouldn't have lost a potentially very good manager over it.
    Typical English press, didn't give a shit about the sport, just about scandal. I think It's fair to say that the English national team has consistently gone backwards ever since.
