The government in the United States will not disarm the populace.....because they know that the people won't fucking have it and the Armed Forces won't carry out such a Draconian plan.

As for your average everyday shooting in America perhaps this could help: 2 parent households, focus on hard work and valuing education, and an end to the war on drugs which is the root cause of a lot of gangland violence.

Yup, that's exactly what I'm trying to tell the anti-gunners, just forget it, it won't happen. The only way there will be a gun control is when - excuse me a bit here - some nut case fella with a full-auto gun goes berserk in the Capitol building and shoot as many politicians he can. Politicians will act when they get hurt...
Once in awhile, get outside in fresh air, take a deep breath & with a deep sigh, let out all the things that's bottled up inside you & be free, & you'll get a glimpse of nirvana.

Do you know what it takes to obtain a weapon like the one you described?

No I don't but by the tone of your question, I can guess. That was just a bit of hyperbole to get my point across. BTW, it's not that hard to convert a semi into full-auto and it doesn't have to be an assault type rifle. Just ask your gunsmith and I bet he can show you how. I've seen some crude craftsmen here converting even a handgun into full-auto...

Oh so you're already talking about an ILLEGAL firearm....so you know, extra gun control wouldn't be needed then

Making such changes to a firearm IS illegal

Well yes, but don't forget, if guns are easy to acquire legally, it'll be much easier for criminally minded nuts to do whatever they please with them, including improvising them to make them more fatal. And don't forget, most guns these psychopaths use are legally acquired weapons.

    1. Criminally minded people, ie those who have already committed crimes (felonies) are not allowed to own or possess firearms.

    2. There's no "pre-crime" division of Law Enforcement yet AND there's a little questionnaire that asks if the purchaser is planning to use the firearm in an illegal manner and if the purchaser lies on that form then there are other charges that go with that.

    3. Because they have no criminal history until the point they decide to become one.

Thank you for saying that gun control is useless because that's what I have been saying all along and since there is no way to un-invent the firearm then it's best that they remain readily available for law abiding citizens so that they might protect themselves, their loved ones, and their property.
