Saunders surprised me with the Lee win. I felt Lee held back a little. But at the end of the day, not really sure if Lee pulled the fight because he didn't want to even discuss the possibility of fighting GGG. Stranger things have happened.

But, Eubank/Saunders rematch? Saunders may not give him one, and why should he? lol....
Saunders promised eubank a rematch after he won a title. So Saunders has his title so he should honour his word and offer the re match but don't see if happening if I'm honest, I think Saunders knows he will get beat and would rather get beaten by a bigger name than eubank jr.

Saunders said he would give him a rematch on his terms after he won a title.
I don't know if discussions have even been mentioned yet but I can see that being a massive sticking point given the size of JR's ego

I think the rematch would be all Eubank, he started way to late in the first fight.

So what would Eubank do differently ? Why did he start so slow?
Maybe he started slow because he didn't have enough ringcraft to suss Saunders out?
If it happened again, the result would be the same.

Genuine 50/50 fight for me. Push came to shove and I was given a free bet on either Id prob take Eunbank.

If it happens, and you give me even Money, I might have a bit for Saunders with you if you like. 😉

He didn't have ANY experience, it was the first good boxer he had faced and he was able to hurt him repeatedly once he found a home for his shots. You could be right, but that wouldn't say much for Eubank. I feel like rematches usually go to the guy who was able to genuinely hurt their man the first time.

I rewatched the fight a while back and I got the feeling that BJS got into a tear up because he wanted to, we all know that he has a few stamina issues but I think he felt like he had a point to prove so once he knew he had the rounds in the bag he went and traded.

it isn't as simple as that obviously but I've had a drink but that is what I got out of the re-watch anyway, first time round I thought that JR would have him quite easily in a rematch, after watching it again I'm not sure, plus I think for as powerful as JR looks I'm not sure about his power, the uppercuts he lands should be laying people out.

I back BJS in a rematch

I have decided that Saunders is overrated and I'm going to back him to lose by KO every time he fights, don't mind me

Yes he has more experience, but my point is he needs to do something better than he did in the first fight. Those first 6 rounds weren't a slow start , it was a "Boxing brain" thing.
He needs to find a way to get in range and land , maybe improved footwork . Those are things I haven't seen.
He was managing to land in the second half of the fights because he was fitter than Saunders, I'll give him that all day long.
My point is that Saunders is a good , but not brilliant fighter, but he was far too savvy for Eubank, so where does that put Eubank?
Answer. Not as good as him or many people think.

You're probably right, and I kind of wasn't factoring in the two being the same age. Even still, there are no good fighters in England, they all bums! I got milk baby!

I'm not too sure about that, I think eubank would fight him for free to be honest he's desperate for that re match

I don't think Eubank or his Dad would even Fart for free! If you don't believe me, ask Hearn or Warren . He's left Hearn to pursue a British Title belt over a World Title strap for the sake of 10 or 20 grand, and Warren has said on numerous occasions that they are impossible to do business with.
