I just can't put a lot of stock in a part time fighter. Its idiotic that he literally just tossed away so much time! He should get Fury and Joshua out of his head and make an effort, knock off a couple lower ends first.

Dude.... I nearly liked this. Haye does not need stiffs now. In fact, he should be in with a top ten guy in his next outing. Haye is so not out of it....

He's not dodging Fury, he knows they wont deal with him because he mucked them around before. However, he always ends with "money talks, good luck earning it without me"

It's pretty clear Haye will chase down the winner of Chagaev-Browne for that pony WBA title.

Considering Haye's drawing power he'll get most of the heavyweights in the world to come to him, regardless of their silverware.

Haye is clearly using PEDs this time around.

Could it be just multivitamins and the fact that he gained weight due to his inactivity??

Contenders normally find ways to talk about fighting THE CHAMPION at all cost. Haye yesterday seemed as if he was finding ways to NOT fight THE CHAMPION... like, wtf?!?! Fury IS the Champion. He has the titles.

I bet Haye clamours for Charles Martin now. lololol......

Fears that the public may have lost interest in the Hayemaker during his three-and-a-half-year absence were dispelled not only by the loyalty of his core London fanbase but by something much more significant for his sport.

    [..]

It was not just the 16,000-plus turnout which was remarkable given the inevitability of a miss-match against virtually unknown Aussie Mark de Mori. Nor only the three million viewers who switched on to the quirky Dave television channel.
The composition of the live crowd was even more fascinating.
As he embarked on his comeback, Haye paused for some time on the ring apron before ducking through the ropes, soaking up the atmosphere but also checking out those in attendance.
He resumed that observation after knocking out De Mori in a fleeting two minutes and 11 seconds. The Hayemaker was amazed by what he saw.

‘It was beautiful that so many came to support me and my first thought was that it was like the good old days for me,’ he said. ‘But then I realised it was more than that. It was different.
‘There were so many young guys. Also many more kids and lots of ladies. We seem to have brought in a new crowd.’..................

David Haye's comeback has highlighted the beginnings of a transformation in this hard old game... boxing is now becoming truly fashionable across society* | Daily Mail Online

Former two-weight world champion David Haye broke broadcasting records this weekend for UKTV channel Dave, with a peak of 3 million viewers tuning in to watch The Hayemaker’s long-awaited comeback versus Australian Mark De Mori.
Dave, broadcasting a live sports event for the very first time, peaked a total of 3.02 million viewers for the fight – 14% of the UK TV audience – making it the top non-public broadcast service programme of the day. During the fight Dave actually experienced a higher share of the UK audience than Channel 4 and was only 1 per cent behind ITV. In addition, 100,000 viewers streamed the fight live on YouTube around the world.

More than 16,000 spectators packed into The O2 to watch The Hayemaker deliver a his signature right hand to knockout top 10 WBA ranked Mark de Mori in what is Haye’s eighth first round KO of his professional career and 25th knock-out in his 27 professional wins. The packed audience included the stars of Hollywood including actor Benedict Cumberbatch and Luther star Idris Elba, proving it to be the hottest ticket in town.

Haye would fight Fury if he was given the chance but Fury does not want to fight him.

Haye has easier options which he will gladly take WBA holder, Wilder, Joshua and Fury is the order of preference.

Haye should be fighting on channel 5 next and work his way up to sky ppv.

    Thats a bit unfair rocky.

Haye can go straight into a title fight but if it needs him to fight a couple more times this year for a title shot next year then so be it.

Haye is experienced, fast with great power..he is a problem for anyone.

Rocco thinks everyone with the exception of Floyd is on PED.

Agreed. Keep busy and take out some lower end durable contenders. Get his Arse back in the ring by April

As much to show he can keep routine, training up to get back. A single round and one recap read "no ring rust whatsoever" He looked a bit chunky too.

To be fair, Haye looked sensational but if I were Fury and he burned me once already by dropping out then I wouldn't be anxious to give Haye a shot either.

Haye is frustrating because he's very good, but such an inactive diva.

Ironically Haye proved again last night that he's still a much bigger star than all these current "world" champions too.

Funker sells out the 02 arena against a noddy in a 10 round non-title fight, whilst two heavyweight "world" title fights on the same bill in New York doesn't get 10,000.

Fury is still yet to headline a big card in the UK (Billy Joe-Eubank Jr sold the Chisora rematch).
