Acting like an idiot only goes so far, when you start embarrassing the people who are watching you, it's too much. Fury vs Wilder will promote itself and Wilder is making good money right now!
I wouldn't bet the house on these two meeting while both are belt holders anyway, they both have some fighting to do first.
I think Fury psyched him out a bit, certainly walked into his house and stole his buzz. Wilder was to the point of asking his corner "you guys ready". Again, not a word of Povetkin who was in the audience
There was a point in round 1 (?) where Wilder threw 3,4 of the ugliest sweeping punches near the ropes. Looked like a raw wide open amateur. They need to loop that and make him watch it all day in training camp.
Povetkin is next.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
I'm watching this fight sober and Wilder has absolutely shocking footwork. There are ten year old kids at my local gym with better footwork than Wilder. He gets away with it due to height/reach/athleticism but any decent heavy who has good technique and a big punch has to be favourite to beat him.
It's quite interesting watching fights sober but I don't think I'm going to make a habit of it.
Wilder pulled it out the bag against a sub par opponent who has been dropped plenty and knocked out before.
He should be looking more and more polished since Stiverne. Hes not. Hes at his level.
Tyson will have a field day aginst him. The dividing of the IBF title which is now in American hands and Wilder being a good sell sets up Tyson for an (on paper) on top of the rematch with Klitschko an impressive run of unifying the titles. Tyson is goung to be massive!
Have you seen the videos of him with the polish fans outside the arena?
It seems only the British cant really get behind him.
I have been watching the KO over and over this morning and I am still not convinced that Wilder did it on purpose.
On the other hand, the other guy walked himself right into that punch. To make that shift work you need to get your head outside his lead foot, and the coordination between his left hand and left foot was lacking.
It is a waste of time teaching class moves to stumble bums. It only gets them in trouble.
I agree. Szpilka wasn't looking awful. He had pretty decent footwork and made Wilder looked like a tank with his feet locked in a wide stances trying to spin to adjust at the waist and line up his turret 1,2 combo. This fight could have been won for szpilka by getting him to tighten up that looping left, turn it over and throw it straight across his body. He constantly set up wilder for it by getting his lead foot outside of wilder's and double/tripping jabbing over wilder's lead shoulder. Wilder's footwork and Szpilkas lead foot backstoppping his, never allowed wilder to pivot out. Throwing it straight would have also preempted the shot that put szpilka down.

They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

Wilder doesn't look to have learned much of anything to me. He's undefeated because he's huge, has a punch, and hasn't fought a good boxer yet.
It never fails to surprise me how Raw and lacking in skill Wilder is considering he's an Olympic Bronze medallist , World HW Champ and 36-0. 36 and fucking 0!!!!
I had him behind in the fight. If him and Tyson Fury are the best in the division, no wonder Haye fancies his chances of a comeback.
I happen to think Povetkin will beat Wilder fairly handily , although he may need to stop him to save any possibility of a dodgy decision.
