GGG would probably beat all the super middleweight champions, now that Ward has left, and it would be good for him to it once he beat Canelo.

    yes it looks that way

he hasn't had a massive fight yet though has he? beating contenders who hadn't really excelled themselves in terms of the premier league

his last one was probably his biggest but you wouldn't call it elite

reckon there could be weaknesses if he got into a fight?

No real weaknesses that I can see. Golovkin may get hit unnecessarily but I think that is more out of choice to land his own punches and he seems to have a solid chin.

IBF & WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin has said he's "ready" for a unification fight against England's Billy Joe Saunders.

Saunders won the WBO version of the middleweight title against Andy Lee in December 2015, defeating the Irishman by majority decision.

In October 2015, Golovkin beat David Lemieux in an eighth-round stoppage to add the IBF middleweight title to his WBA belt.

The Kazakh fighter's win in New York was his 34th victory in the professional ranks, and could have a fight against WBC belt holder Saul Alvarez on the radar.

GGG needs to move up to 168 imo. I understand that it's not his fault 160 sucks, but it does. James DeGale would give him a good fight, Andre Dirrell probably also has the style to cause him problems. The guy is only easy to hit if you're willing to trade with him, his feet and balance are excellent.

Kind of a catch 22 for the guy. Name another "elite" middleweight? There is this idea for the last few years that he hasn't fought anyone but he's cleaned out the division and if not for the fact that there is a gaggle of belts, those who hold them would have been forced to fight him or give up their dream of winning a world title. You cant call Alvarez an elite middleweight. He's never fought there.
