The weird thing is that I honestly think wilder beats povetkin but they are the ones avoiding him so maybe they aren't as confident as I am.

These are the times when I wish Povetkin had the mouth and personality of a cross between David Haye and Tyson Fury. Not that it would get him the fight.... but at least show Wilder up in the press and get some fans questioning Wilder's testicular fortitude.

I was a fan of Wilder's in the beginning, but now all his chest-beating is sounding a little hollow.

I think the mainstream fans have stopped watching him as well.

Povetkin was at the fight but may as well have been the invisible man for the amount he tried to promote a fight netween the two!

I wonder if Povetkin secretly doubts his ability to defeat Wilder. He shouldn't.... I think he's got the skill set and ring experience to pull it off. However... it's the HW division, so there's always that homerun shot threat.

I thinks its an even figt but Povetkin will struggle with Wilders height. Wilder im just assuming will box a bit more carefully behind his jab than he has been but then Povetkin isnt Stiverne thats going to be happy just plodding after him either.

Theres a photo of the Furys with Povetkin at the fight stood between Hughie and Tyson and he looks quite small.

Yeah Povetkin's listed at 6-2, which is quite "shrimpy" next to behemoths Wilder (6-7) and Fury (6-9). If Wilder worked feverishly on his boxing skills and using his jab like you alluded to, he very well might keep Povetkin honest enough to go into the late rounds and win either by late KO or decision. But I think Wilder's spectacular KO victories against lesser opponents have not given him the incentive to think he may have to hone his skills. Dangerous against someone like Povetkin.

Povetkin looks more muscular now and probably hits harder. He will work Wilder harder than anyone else he has faced.
