Obviously, it won't be by his 30th fight... as he's now slated to fight the great Nicolai Firtha. So when does Deontay step up in class for good? And a follow-up question.... against whom?

Next year definitely.. David Price said he'd fight Wilder in a heartbeat..
Against my better judgement (maybe wishful thinking), I foolishly voted 40th.
I reserve the right to change my vote, though.![]()
i think he will quite soon but only when he gets a world title shot which will somehow happen within the next year or two
Right now anyone not expected to be fully blown out early would be a step up
Thats just sad meing
LMAO on the choices bro. Give me Perez's phone number in Ireland. I'd like to go a little Gaelic on his ass.
I'm very high on Deontay, I think he has the goods to really do some great things in the HW divison post-Klitschko era, but god damn are they ever moving at a snail's pace with his career. He should be fighting a real fighter now.
By his 40th fight when he's age 30.
He's capable of beating ranked contenders now, but they are being very overprotective of him.
Bigger man George, bigger punch!

Right now, Wilder's reminding me a bit of Faruq The Dream Saleem.
6'7" dude was undefeated, 37 wins, 32 KOs, but never did fight anyone of substance.
Finally lost, his 1st loss, and he retired.
His opponents had th most abysmal records you'd ever see.
Undefeated at 37 and 0 means nothing if you never fought anyone good.
The low level guys that Wilder is knocking over are not even good enough to learn anything from.
I don't think Wilder will go his entire career without fighting a live body. He's not Faruq Saleem or some bum just looking to keep his record spotless. I think given how raw he is he needs rounds and he needs to develop himself.
I wouldn't be surprised if in 2-3 more fights he's moving towards a showdown vs Wladimir.
Wilder had a bit of a melt down on Twitter the other night and claimed that people like Frank Warren and Chisora weren't actually interested in making a fight with him but rather wanted to use his name as publicity
