in hindsight yes, although pricey was confident at the time and could have landed one

either way, the reasons not to fight and give up a belt seemed a bit weak to me

At the time, I don't think so. Don't forget that was around the time Fury was busy giving himself right upper cuts. And Price had looked fairly decent , albeit a bit cumbersome.
Anyway, it doesn't matter now.😄
