That was a very dramatic fight, good call. Don't see many people in that kind of way multiple times come out to win.

Some claimed Cotto was chinny after that fight. I think it proved how hard it was for Cotto to make weight. Once he moved up...the chin question faded away.

Tyrone Trice mentioned in the bad attitude thread made me wanna look at his record.
Wasn't sure what Trice lacked...skills? Defence?
One name on his resume stood out to me: Joe Lipsey 18-0 when he defeated Trice.
I remember him fighting Bernard Hopkins who was 28-2-1 to Lipsey 25-0.
It was considered somewhat of a dangerous task to fight an unknown who had just beat Tyrone Trice and a then up n comer named Derrick Colon who was 18-0.

After Hopkins knocked Lipsey the fuck OUT!!! Resting his head on the referee shoe like it was a pillow.
He retired after one shot at the title
    25-1
    one title shot

    And he was done.

Tyrone Trice was a good fighter for awhile. He got stopped by Freddie Pendleton but came back to beat Curtis Summitt and Steve Little. Good wins at the time. He lost to Simon Brown in the 14th; that was a war.

Brown and Trice had some serious beef with one another. Remember Brown wanted to make up with him but it kicked off again at the end of the fight.

I remember Steve Little...had to jog my memory, but Curtis Summit? Will look him up. I humbly say I've never heard the name.

With Lipsey and not sure it would have mattered, Trice was a bloater and at the end. He def didn't belong at 168 on short notice. It was ironic in pre interview he pointed to Freddie Pendleton..who blew him up years ago..as a case of not being judged by number of losses in relation to future . Trice was bitter and still calling robbery off Lally (yes) and Tate defeats. All credit to Lipsey though who absolutely battered Trice to the point of knocking him down and then ramming a right knee to his head accidentally. No idea why Lipsey bowed out after Hopkins but that was as brutal an underrated KO Hopkins has ever had. Its one thing to be ko'd and come back to then find its all gone but another to feel the pain and get out that quickly. He beat very solid comp coming up but no idea what became of him.
