Well at least it may make those who are in control over duty of care to fighters, to maybe look further into individual fighters and how all are not the same, there is a big difference between fighting with your heart and with your head. If good can come of this for future better protection and awareness I dont see the problem some have with it being in a spotlight. It wont effect the sport this will all be forgotten in a months time publicly, if Blackwell is walking around ok.

I cant remember; did the doctor shine a light on his pupils or just check his damage out? Walk straight over here for me. Finger counts, whats your date of birth son or what month are we in?All that stuff could be done very fast every time if a fighter is walking into all the harder shots.

I thought that myself earlier. Maybe the light in the eyes should be mandatory between each round.

Good thought. Unless theres a total flogging going early on,why not check them out between the 6th and 12th of a hard fight, it wouldnt take more than 5 seconds each even the fans wouldnt notice it going on between rounds and to do both fighters would keep any thoughts of steering judges at bay.

I'm all for anything that makes Boxing safer ultimately and if this works , then Brilliant.
I'm not a medical person, but I'm just wondering if the doc had been shining the light in Nick Blackwell's eye between rounds, would it show that his pupils were dilated? Or is this something that happens suddenly?
Somebody with a medical Knowledge is needed here because as I said earlier, immediately after the fight he looked in no discomfort when he was talking to Eubank Sr.
I'm not against this, just wondering if it would help avoid a tragedy.
