I think its probably already too late. If you have to register your hands as lethal weapons and then you attack someone on the street and punch them in the throat, that could carry a charge higher than assault. Add robbery to that, and now, a driving conviction. It doesn't bode well for his character. He could get lucky and buy this guy off (obviously the guy could be swayed by money-- if this assaults made over a gambling argument) However if this is a criminal case and the DA decides to go after him.....

He may not get a long sentence but I wouldn't be surprised to see him emerge on the road to looking like his dad. Campaigning at light heavy or cruiser maybe. Call it a hunch...
