Listening to the BS from Povetkins camp hurts the ears. You tested clean 3 times then dirty but it was from before. Unlikely, but even so that he is claiming to be a clean fighter is undoubtedly BS because he doesn't have the condition that called for the drug. In all this if you claim it was in your system before why aren't they asking to retest the B samples from before to show it was in your system then? Why aren't they requesting to test the B from the positive test now? The answers are simple, he's dirty as F! It isn't even debateable that he took it. So the argument is when, the evidence says recently but these proven cheats are to be trusted over the evidence. F that!

But they know they bring the WBC the biggest check and this is boxing. So watch everyone bend over backwards for that money. WBC will almost certainly embarrass the sport again for their profit.

Povetkins people are still claiming its not off. Part of the claim comes from the test being below the acceptable amount. So they already have an acceptable amount for a drug they just banned in January? Those tolerated amounts are reserved for those peds that have proven to be helpful in physical injury. My understanding as I read more about this stuff is that its a heart med and based on what it seems to do or said to, its like EPO. What injury could they claim for its use. There is obviously something more to this. Its supposed to be pretty black and white. I dont think anyone knows its longevity and levels in the system.

Alexander Povetkin promoter Andrey Ryabinskiy held a press conference on Monday in Moscow to address the current status of the troubled Wilder-Povetkin fight.

Andrey Ryabinskiy: “If we don’t come to an agreement about the fight with Wilder’s team, we are ready to meet them in court. The fight is not cancelled but postponed, we are discussing a new date. There are no legal barriers for the fight. The official Wilder-Povetkin fight status is “postponed.” Everything else is just thoughts of some persons…All claims against Povetkin are legally unsound. This is just an inflated press story.

“Povetkin didn’t fail a doping test. He has 15 times lower meldonium concentration than the limit established by WADA. Now we need to pass additional tests, then we will set a new date of the fight and do it.”

Alexander Povetkin: “I have nothing to fear, I am a clear fighter and I have not been taking meldonium since it was prohibited. I was perfectly ready for the fight and I am very upset with its postponement. I don’t want to say anything bad about Wilder and his team. Russian people don’t like such things.”
