1980 Larry Holmes vs 2016 Tyson Fury

There were many people that thought Mike Spinks was awarded the decision that separated Holmes from his IBF title out of revenge for that statement and both fights were close to add to the theory. But as it stands I still believe that Holmes would rock Fury.

With a pretty deep gash over his eye...Carl gave a memorable/class on the jab---post fight interview.

He said "I had the quicker jab, but Larry had the more experienced jab."

Referring to the fact he used the Jab to score. Larry was shooting past the eye, slashing his skin which created the gash.

Only other time I saw that kind of jab...with intent to slash Lewis vs Klitschko.
With that said....Holmes workmanlike rate and experience carries him to victory or Fury.

I agree but boxers like Witherspoon and awkward fighters like Snipes/Slinks gave Holmes famous jab problems.

If an opponent is moving so much you cant set a jab up it takes your jab away.

Larry was a fine Champion and he was very much unappreciated by the public and media, why because he beat up Ali.

What about Wladimir Klitschko? More defences and more titles, actually unfified titles unlike Holmes eho only ever held one of the titles. Would Klitschko be fit to carry Holmes Jock strap? Would Holmes be fit to carry Klitschkos?
