OK, plenty of paranoid nutcases in the States who think like that but I have to tell you it's just silly.
Alright....so peace will reign when Le Pen is elected, good news

What you don't understand is that you grew up in a febrile atmosphere of people still upset they lost the civil war and with an undercurrent of rebellion against the government in Washington. The idea that there might be a huge bunch of people pick up their weapons and try to overthrow the government isn't abstract nuttery to you, it's a genuine cultural touchstone.

Over here in civilisation you can sometimes go years without having a conversation about how tyrannical the government is and wouldn't it be a good idea to have an armed rebellion. People over here just aren't a bad hair day away from picking up the gun they don't have and marching on the capital.

He comes from a party full of them. He is probably one of the worst though. He has destroyed the education system. It will be no coincidence that the rush to privatise that will be replaced by the rush to continue privatising the NHS under him if he gets the nod.

How do the Tories not come out so bad in any of this? Yet Corbyn is facing a full on revolt over nothing more than doing an excellent job for 9 months. It all just looks insane and you have to seriously worry about the motivations, sanity, and reasoning of every one involved in politics, except for Corbyn and the few reliable people he has around him.

Labour membership is up 60,000 in a week. More than doubled in a year. People clearly want Corbyn and the snakes just don't want to listen or hear. Good, resign all of you. Go and join the Tories or form the War Criminal Mafia Alliance or whatever it is you are into, but you are the problem and you are in the wrong party. Blair was the aberration and you are either going to learn that or face oblivion. If Corbyn goes, then Labour goes too.

Because this was a revolt planned a long time ago. The media are a massive part of it.
