It's a shame it happened, very unfortunate and completely avoidable from Atkinson's part. Cops for the most part don't go looking to fuck with people....which of course is something not fully accepted and embraced by a certain group of people, namely those who wish to break the law without opposition.

Sounds like he was pretty fucked up, he had a dicky heart, was on dialasys and was off his nut, apparently he forced his way into the house and tried to strangle his dad after telling him that he had already killed his brother and sister, when the police arrived apparently his final words were 'I am the massiah'

so often you hear of sportsmen struggling once they give the profession up but the thing I can't really get my head around is that he was 48, its not exactly like when Calzaghe or Hatton went off the rails briefly after they retired from boxing is it.
