It is about balance, but the scales have tipped too far. Not working is damaging, but on the flipside, you have people juggling 3 jobs just trying to do the 'right thing'. Then you have corporate executives earning money that is just not justified and others watching TV all day on welfare. It is all about balance and there is little balance.
3 days a week is plenty. It then gives the person time to raise their family and educate themselves which seem to be missing elements in Western societies these days. The problem with that though is that strong families, knowledge and awareness is a threat to the system and must never be allowed.
I agree the uberazation of employment gives more benefit to the employer than the employee. As far as three day work weeks go I work three twelve to fourteen hour days.

If we could care less about profits and shareholders, you could use that money to provide advantages to more people. Have some working 3 days then a different group working a different 3 days. Double those in emplyment and use the profits to pay them instead of rip off CEO's and shareowners. Collectives in the interest of all. Everyone works and everyone gets free time. It would have to be forced as companies know only how to extract and use their workers.
