I completely disagree Eric.
If it's not watchable why does every boxing fan tune in to watch..surely everyone can't expect him to to loose.
Even in retirement, everyone is pleading for him to return..must be something that's watchable about him.
He outclassed a young undefeated prime canelo at the weight canelo suggested.
He beats a faster and more powerful pacquio..with ease.
Boxing is exciting right now and there are lots of great fights to be made so there's no need for floyd to return, but the sweet science is what floyd is all about when he is in action.
propaganda
I'm not pleading for him to return
he beat canelo in a shit fight and he beat pac in a shit fight, neither canelo nor pac were to blame for the shitness of the fights
yeah he is good but his fights are shit
hes very lucky that through his career American boxing was at a low in terms of talent and he was the only really good fighter they had

Eric thats rubbish!
Of course it was Canelo and Pacquiaos fault. Mayweather didnt run, in the most he stood in front of them. It was there inability to think, adapt, catch him that let down peoples expectations of what they thought those fighters could do.
People resent Mayweather because he can make good fighters look shit.
I dunno mate
if you take all three fighters last 10 fights
Floyd 10 fights 10 snoozers
canelo 10 fights 1 snoozer
pac 10 fights 1 snoozer
kind of suggestive?

lots and lots of fighters
If you enjoy mayweathers fights that's fine
I just think they are shit, yes you could argue its because he is so good or you could argue its because he runs, im not really arsed either way, I just find them a little bit boring and unenjoyable events
and if you are about to accuse me of not appreciating the sweet science, then I don't agree with that either, i think he lands just enough to win rounds
i'm a boxing fan and i like to see people punched in the face a lot more often than the regularity that people are punched in the face in mayweather fights

So Floyd needs to get punched in the face more for you to enjoy it? I think Floyd punches the opposition in the face enough. In fact, in the Pacquiao fight, after the first couple of rounds , Pac got hesitant after he felt Floyd's punches. Everyone says he's got no power, but I think he's got enough to make people think twice about walking him down.
The art is to hit and not get hit, and he does that better than anyone else in recent times.
Strange how Ali never used to get accused of running in his prime, but hey ho.

Come on powerpuncher!
Don't sound like everyone else!
Really? Power?!
49 opponents and probably 40 of those opponents had more power than floyd...stop nit picking..accept the reality and realise that skills win fights and a great boxer beats a great fighter everytime.
JC was a great boxer and beat everyone...including loads of opponents that had more power than him..Andre ward is the same.
After Andre beats kovalev and drops a few pounds to destroy GGG we can have this discussion again and what power made to these undefeated legends.!
I'm confused. My point is that everyone has a weakness. I agree that Floyd is great and that his lack of power was made up for by his various other skills. Maybe I was just confused by your comment that Floyd is good at everything. I mean, you just admitted that most of his opponents had more power than him right?
So I'm going to say we agree but somehow got misinterpreted
Floyd wasn't a light puncher though, if he were he would've struggled a lot more with many of his later and heavier opponents. He wasn't heavy handed and obviously didn't sell out for his punch ever, but there's no way a good few guys wouldn't have fought him with more abandon if he literally couldn't punch, absolutely no way. If you watch the fights closely it's freaking obvious he wasn't some featherfist, but whatever suits people I guess.
