Doesn't really bother me. Most of these PPV matchups I'm not really that interesting even if they were free.

To be honest, the fights on TV lately are by far more worth watching than PPV.

HBO's boxing business shows signs of fatigue - LA Times

mildly interesting article here...I think the best sign that hbo are buggering up their ppvs is that the 3 ppvs this year have received 850,000 buys and the cotto canelo ppv had 950,000 buys on it's own :S.... So i think this proves putting together a good card with a well matched main event like cotto vs alvarez was(and for a world title) is still a winner, rigondeaux fought on the undercard and you had vargas v miura too which was a great fight.. Cotto and canelo are two big names fighting at a fair weight for both of them for a big name world title too(although neither were actually middleweights at the time).. Compare cotto canelo card to the canelo khan card :S Canelo v khan had guys that golovkin beat up as the main support and it was for a world title 5lbs below the actual limit defended against a welterweight who was never really that big in america :S It was just all wrong... Hbo really need to push for some better match making, I think canelo will fight whoever and it is the promoters holding it back but for the long term good of boxing, broadcasters, promoters and fighters they all need to start working together to stop them slipping further behind the ufc.

The sooner the evil ppv business model goes the better and bigger boxing will be.

The fact that other combat sports are even close is because of greed ppv and burining out fans with the crap fights.

Agreed on Juanma, it was messed up that he took his last fight not even 2 months after the other bad stoppage loss, who does that in this day and age. Now going right into another fight he could easily lose after 2+ years out. I guess they are both trying to cash out on the PR rivalry, don't really have an opinion of Vasquez JR or who wins this one saying that though.
