That's a rather heavy thing to say. People post because they want to post. Situations and circumstances change. Fair enough if someone was to start a leaving thread (a final tradition if I may say) saying 'I cannot stand it. Brock has ruined my world!' then fair enough, but otherwise it is just misleading. Big H for instance is trying to start his business. The others are doing whatever they are doing. That is on them, not Brock. People post if they want to post and if people are not going to add their views then it is inevitable that the discourse might well go down a path that is different. That is where you can add your voice and because I believe in free speech, I think you all have a voice. That's one reason I struggle to get upset by Denilson. I like to hear different voices. Plus there are newer people like Batman and Primo and others like Slim Trae who I find interesting (hope he hasn't gone missing BTW as I like his politics).

The world isn't falling. I do agree that there should be more cohesion as you don't need thread after thread on basically the same topic, but I am not a Mod and nobody listens to me anyway.

All of them were fine posters, but Marbleheadmaui was awesome. That man was an encyclopedia of boxing. I once started a thread asking about teenage lineal champions in the history of the sport and within a few minutes of posting that thread, he listed all of them. When it came to boxing knowledge, he was second to none, imo, and I've been to other boards with knowledgeable people, but no one came close to his knowledge of the fight game. A pity he only stayed for a few months, glad to see someone else remembered him.

As for as old time posters not being around, maybe they were busy and not because of Brock or because of lack of activity here. I mean I just came back after a 2 year hiatus and even in 2014 I only stayed for a few weeks and was on another 2 year hiatus, I posted regularly here from 09-12. I was just busy with life and tbh, I noticed around 2012 the board wasn't that active and went to boxingscene more. Nothing to do with anyone here. I also have to add I've seen some old time saddo members like Bilbo, Skel1983, Deanrw, on other boxing boards. It's not always because of one member, let's be fair here. Other members have their reason for not posting here.

Edit: Forgot to add, Skell1983 is usually in and out of prison, Youngblood, from what I remembered was starting university in 2012, he should have graduated by now and probably has a job or maybe even starting graduate school, other members I communicated with said that there wasn't enough activity here, so they just went elsewhere, it's not because of 1 person.

Incidentally, I believe there were three walls (or defensive fortifications anyway). Hadrians Wall is the more famous and it was built by the Romans to defend against the Scots. Those woad painted nutters would regularly storm across the border for a bit of pillaging and the Romans could not subdue them .... or it made no economic or strategic sense to try to.

the Antonine Wall was built further south, with the same intention.

Then there is Offa's Dyke, built by the kingdom of Mercia to protect them against the ferocious raids of sheep shagging Welshmen who would explode across that border for a fight and a spot of stealing on a Saturday afternoon.

So, actually, they WERE built for safety and protection.

In the current day, my neighbour has also got a garden wall, as he believes this will stop me from assaulting his property, cavorting naked in his garden under the moonlight and taking any females that I find there (species irrelevant). Walls don't work though, as I have now worked out there is a gate in it.
