Cunningham wins! Big upset. Gogo's legs were stiff and he was going to lose.

Brilliant round! Sam dominating and hurt Gavin with heavy shots and was nearly stopped.
Sam is getting cocky. Gavin is fighting back with southpaw skill.
fucking brilliant, fuck you Frankie you coked up blue nosed bastard
Sam stopped him, another upset. Great performance. I thought Sam would be weakened by the body shots but instead he beats Gavin with them.
What a fight that was, Gavins finished now surely.
Definite contender for British foty so far that![]()
Gavin just said he's just seen that he was ahead on the cards. Are they fucking serious!
Macklin talks a lot of sense at times, but I can't agree with him about that being Gavin's best professional performance. If it was, that just shows how much Gavin has blown his career.
How can it be a great performance if you've let your opponent impose HIS style on YOU?
There's a lot to like about Eggington, but a fully fit, dedicated Gavin with the boxing skills he has surely should be too much for him.
It's almost like Gavin was punishing himself for his lack of professionalism by seeing how much he could take.
I'm pleased for Eggington though , he's down to earth and he deserves everything he gets out of the sport.
Gavin should have stuck to his boxing to win the fight. Sam was like Corales, giving away his height just so he could fight. They should have a rematch.
Eggington
Ogogo looked seriously rusty to me. He was tense, couldn't get his shots off and he dealt with his opponents southpaw style really very badly. In the amateurs, a much higher proportion of fighters are southpaw and you would have thought an Olympic bronze medalist would have fought and beaten many lefties, but it didn't look like it.
Ogogo got badly shaken many times by a guy with almost no history of knockouts, but who managed to out think and outbox a very decorated amateur. Maybe Ogogo had an off day, but I've never really thought he was going to a world beater.
I feel sorry for the guy, because he always turns up fit and makes weight (unlike some), but his litany of injuries just be so heartbreaking and difficult to deal with.
Frankie Gavin is just annoying. You could see he hadn't trained properly, has back had sagging fat on it and he was fleshy around the shoulders and arms too. He is a very skilful and cagey boxer, but carried no power because he is at the wrong weight. He showed some heart in there, but he certainly accepted the defeat too happily afterwards. Very little hunger in the guy.
Good luck to Eggington, but I cant really see him competing with people like Shawn Porter, Thurman, Brooke (?), Vargas or Garcia, never mind Pacquiaio. He was a bundle of energy alright, but he looked to me like he was gassing out. Easy to hit as well and he was getting asked up by a comparably light puncher.
If God wanted us to be vegetarians, why are animals made of meat ?
