It gives him some publicity and a win and that'll be enough to get him another payday which he won't turn down. He'll get a decent cheque being roadkill for a Mexican boxer. Maybe Mares if he loses his next bout.
Heres to hoping the major promotions are weary of a possible homicide on a big card because honestly he is going to get his clock cleaned violently. Can't believe they stuck with a $30 ppv fee and would be interested to see the resulting numbers in the local market. Ideally he'll retire, not many ex chose can say their last big ko win was a ppv 'event'. Event used loosely.
He already got brutally knocked out a couple of times and survived. If he helps pad a bill out somewhere I'm sure a promoter will book him. Puerto Rico will have a local cable company that will show anything to make a buck. The Bermuda (population 65 000) cable network did a PPV music/talent show a few years ago so I'm sure the Puerto Rico version managed to make money out of it.
If he's found a productive evenly matched niche locally than all the power to him. Man deserves to make an honest dollar I just don't' want to see another guy eating apple sauce the rest of his life or worse. At least he's a step above picking fans from the audience for pay days. Corner men another story
