I'm a believer in extraordinary measures for extraordinary times. Back then, you didn't have too many Dylann Roofs walking into black churches and mowing down half a dozen people. There's always been crime, there's always been murder. We just seem to have gotten too cavalier about these things, is all. I say make an example out of Dylann for the rest of the world to see.
Well there used to be public hangings, there used to be lynch mobs for criminals, there used to be vigilante justice....I don't think that dissuades someone who has the inner drive to do such evil things.

"Back then"? When....dude "Back then" you had far worse than Dylann Roof.

Sub-human scum like Dylann Roof rarely get what they truly deserve. Add to that the gaps in the Justice System, and you have all sorts of travesties which do nothing but fuel the rage of the average citizen and increase the feeling of powerlessness that people have. See that's the problem and the difference between me and others. Many see things as ok the way they are. I don't. I feel things can and should be done to fix these B.S. occurrences that we pass off as inevitable.

Well what does he truly deserve and who are you to say? I mean shit, I wanted Bin laden drawn and quartered and I didn't literally SEE him die but at the end of the day hate will eat you up and sometimes letting go, which is a very very difficult thing to do is the best thing. Are you going to not live your life to the fullest because of what some asshole did? If that's the case then regardless of what you would personally do to someone like Roof they would win.

You're speaking out of emotion, it's understandable....but there's a reason things are the way they are. No they aren't perfect and they never will be, but the key for us as humans is to not allow this hate that one person had infect OUR souls if it does then life becomes a never ending tit for tat, eye for an eye tooth for a tooth....blood for blood.

Also you say all those things, and yet you'd like to keep more legal law abiding gunowners from owning and operating firearms...I know that'll piss you off and I didn't do it specifically for that reason, just trying to line up your philosophy on guns with your "things can and should be done to fix it" statement....and no I'm not advocating guns in churches.

I can understand why you would think that. But..... and don't make too much out of this ....... given the state of circumstances nowadays, I could see paving the way toward having armed citizens at places like churches and yes.... even schools. The Adam Lanzas and Dylann Roofs of the world have contaminated society in such a way that it seems the only way to prevent these blood-curling massacres is to fight fire with fire. Another Roof shows up at a church wanting to wreak havoc? Pin him down to the ground and blow his brains all over the terrazzo. Another Lanza fancies going to a school and shooting it up? Shove a shotgun up his ass and pull the trigger.

So yeah... maybe having armed citizens strategically planted wouldn't be such a bad idea.

.... and yes, I'm speaking out of emotion. Admittedly, these types of crimes bring out the worst in me.
