The only monster here is you, since Trump won you have gone into monster post mode.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Well maybe that's because .....HE'S A RACIST!!!!![]()
(I'm giving you a hard time Master, thanks for being a good sport)
Yeah I've seen/heard that Carolla bit before and he's not wrong. We coddle kids in school, we coddle them in athletics now (which used to be unheard of), we coddle them at COLLEGE where you're supposed to go learn to be an adult....these kids never hear anything but "You're great! You're wonderful! YOU MATTER"....no, no you don't, you have to EARN that, that's a privilege. When I hear people talk about "white privilege" THAT is what I think about, not being born into the middle class, no no no, being brought up thinking that all you have to do is just take in oxygen to be the most important of all people ever THAT my friend is privilege!
You know what children need? BALANCE and it's important that I explain because otherwise people might assume a few things that I'm most certainly NOT saying. Children don't need to be built up by their parents, children don't need to be torn down by their parents, children need the TRUTH from their parents and when they get the truth, maybe it's not always a happy fun time, but in order to grow and develop into mature, reasonable, rational adults there are going to be periods of learning, periods of adversity and so on. You don't become great by skating through life undefeated...the only undefeated people in life have never fucking tried anything.
The Dog Whisperer would make a great child psychologist (as South Park alluded to) because his motto/mantra is for a happy dog (in this case a happy child) you need: Rules, boundaries, and limitations....also EXERCISE is a key to keeping a dog (or in this case a child) happy, healthy, and well balanced.
Master you are a Monstor for your weight.![]()
I noticed that these delicate snowflakes, the "participation award generation" as it were, seem to lean hard towards socialism and even communism. I wonder why?![]()
When I was growing up and playing sports I was on some good teams and some shitty teams, sometimes I was one of the best on the team and sometimes I was the weak link on a team....regardless of my personal status on the team I always attempted to do my own personal best because if I did my best I helped the team. And win or lose I was always trying hard.....sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.
Fast forward to this generation and what do we have No-Score Youth Sports Policies Gaining Popularity - Athletic Business
Why? Why play? Why try? Why attempt to better yourself? What is the fucking point? It's straight up COMMUNISM and I for one won't have it....why? Because it's hiding your children from reality a reality that no matter how hard you try, no matter what you fucking do it WILL land on your kid and if they aren't ready for it then it's going to be a massive meltdown and when the majority of kids act this way....
....there's gonna be a problem
Baby Boomers ruined everything
Generation WUSS
Lyle is a racist. Long live Karl Marx.
I find things like this a bit silly. There are going to monsters in any generation, but most millenials are not monsters. They are just young adults trying to find their way in the world just like any other generation did. BUT the millenials have a harder time of it than any generation since the great depression. They have a right to think the system is unjust and that there are dinosaurs such as their parents who ignored the decline and have left it all on them. The baby boomers are not the ones inheriting a system as morally, economically and sociallly bankrupt one as this. The mess will take decades to clean up and millenials are not the reason why any of this happened. The monsters are not the kids, it is those that turned a blind eye to the decay that has long been underway.
I think the problem with the Neo-Victorian/CryBully/Millennials is that due to advances in healthcare, technology, etc Childhood has been extended and right now it's at the College/University level for the most part....it's not the good parts of childhood, it's the bad parts. The temper tantrums, the complaining, the "That's not fair!", the "But it's my turn!" kind of things are happening and since everyoneis valued and everyone
is ENTITLED to an opinion some people have gone absolutely nuts with this. There are speech police everywhere, thought police, tone police.
People simply will not switch that shit off, they'll throw down at the drop of a Washington Redskins hat
I personally find millenials to be utterly DEVOID OF PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS, dreadfully INEPT IN INTERPERSONAL SITUATIONS, horrifically IGNORANT OF HISTORY, and completely SELF-ENTITLED LAZY WHINING BRATS.
and that's just a rough snapshot.
Yes because computers do everything for them. Look no further than the new Mickey Mouse Club, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, et al don't SOLVE any problems they get "Toodles" to fix everything. Toodles being some sort of robot half slave half pet.
If there is a problem they just holler "Oh Toodles" and boom, problem solved....and yeah I understand that Millennials aren't currently watching that shit, but they were brought up on that kind of stuff.
They don't "get" human interaction, it's mind boggling...they'll chit chat away all day on the interwebs and in real life![]()
And yes, I realize the irony of posting this here....on a forum on the interwebs
Morons is what they are, really.
How much interaction with the kids are you two really having? I typically teach about 200 young adults each week and see none of what you are saying.Sure they have cell phones and social networks, but they also have access to information and know a lot. The notion that kids don't know history or how to reason or discuss ethics is silly. They can even talk about these things in a second language and sometimes to a shockingly impressive degree. There are no tantrums, inability to reason, none of that. These are young adults and they are just fine. Now the job market they will go into is not fine, but that's not their fault!
