The children of baby boomers were more successful than their parents. The millenials are the first in a long time to do worse. Yes factory jobs are leaving the us but new industry has popped up everywhere. The government did poor planning seeing this. I know many babyboomers who did quite well with no reliance on the government. It was the age where you could start out sweeping floors and end up running th company. My father did so and never once took money from the government. He was contacted to study the collapse of the World Trade Center as he was known as a top metallurgist in the country. He did this as I mentioned, by starting out sweeping floors in a factory in Massachusetts . My grandfather grew up in an era where Irish Catholics were not hired due to prejudice but was able to start his own business with success. @
