I think we have had some crazy sentences for putting swastikas on temples in the us. Again, stupid crime but if u don't have a record and do such a thing why bother with jail.

That is the point I am making, which you miss, he must have had previous. What his friends got is relevant as they did not get sentenced and he did.

The clues are there.

You do not get a custodial sentence here very easily. Even for this offence his friends did not go to prison.

Some of them did but the sentences were suspended its on their records as if they did. I can find no mention of previous crimes do u know if he did.

It should be on their records, it is a despicable crime. For this person to be imprisoned, he must have had previous. Our prisons are overcrowded and you have to commit a serious crime or be a persistent offender to be imprisoned.

One of his codefendants got nine months. I can find no mention of him having a record do you know if he did have a record. It appears he didn't. A year is just too much.

I'll tell you a fine, sensitivity training and probation would have been adequate. You disagree that's fine but it wasn't violent and jail just makes people worse. jails do too much damage to humans and it's just a big money making scheme in the western world. If u are not violent there are other options. He shouldn't have wasted the food to boot.

Master may be right if he had a previous criminal activity this would excacerbate the sentence, but if his previous was just misdemeanors, one year seems excessive beyond belief. If he had previous nonviolent misdemeanors, he could have gotten 30 or 60 days TOPS. Any more than 90 days for a bacon sandwich is WAY BEYOND REASONABLE.

If you really did work in the Criminal Justice System then you will know that without knowing about his previous convictions, reading any of the reports, interviews or even being in court your assessment of the sentencing is pretty pointless. If you want to throw your lot in with the boo boys and carry on inciting division and hatred then that is a bit sad. Saddo was never like this before. Therefore, it was right and proper that he was placed in a jail, where he might get murdered by another fat subnormal chav.

Logically, that is the most effective way to reduce the amount of fat subnormal chavs.

Also working in criminal justice actually made me realize how screwed up the system was. @Beanz so you know my job was to help people get out of jail when we deemed it appropriate something I was very passionate about. I saw way too many mental health issues being incarcerated because the system had no where to put them which is unconstitutional. Had u ever worked in it you would know. Perhaps master worked from the other side but not me. I've seen people held in jail as they couldn't afford a 150 dollar fine.

Cook County Jail (Chicago) is the largest Mental Health facility in the United States....it's a shame.

I agree that in the States it seems from an outsider that they are very quick to lock people up that could be helped in other ways and that mental health services are incredibly underfunded on both sides of the pond. The fact remains none of us are privy to all the facts in this case. None of us have seen his precons nor have we read any of the reports etc. We aslo do not even know if he died of natural causes. If he had no previous major offenses I think the government taking a year of life for the crime is uncalled for just as I said that bail on the Muslim fellow who committed fraud at his little shop someone posted is extreme.
