Point remains it's still a MASSIVE undertaking and one that regardless of anyone's political affiliations, might be money very badly spent. With today's technology, there's plenty of ways to secure a border that don't necessarily include a fortress type wall along an almost 2,000-mile border. Leave that shit to the ancient Chinese, who by the way did a remarkable job at theirs.
