From the very beginning my fears about Trump were in the international affairs, national security areas. You can look up all my previous posts. I figured he'd do well on domestic issues like the economy. I've always been one of those who have been willing to give Trump a chance, wishing him well for the benefit of the country.

But fear is beginning to set in, because Trump is making some moves that are difficult to defend, and tough to accept. For starters, why is he giving so much power to someone like Steve Bannon, while at the same time taking it away from other, more established, more knowledgeable people? Who is really going to run the White House? Whose policies are going to be established? Is there going to be any such thing as consensus anymore? What plans does Trump really have down the line?

It's becoming increasingly difficult not to think of Trump as wanting to turn democracy on its head, and turn the U.S. into something else. We all know Trump has an outsized ego. That he doesn't take kindly to disagreement, nor criticism. Is he REALLY after what is good for the country? Or is he drunk with power and wants nothing more than to have pyramids built in his name? This shit is really starting to become worrisome, even to those who have been willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

WTF is going on... and are people going to be able to react in case things begin to go south really, really quick?

It is important for people to maintain their objectivity when it comes to Trump. Forget SJW snowflakes (I still don't know what that means) on one side, and the rabid Trump lovers on the other. I'm hoping there's enough objective people out there to see reality for what it is. We're not talking about a deranged CEO who could cause his corporation's stock to drop. We're talking about the leader of the most powerful country in the world, with the capability to begin global conflict, or even a third World War.

If Trump is going to put all his eggs in one basket, he needs to be careful before putting someone like Bannon in charge of everything.

Trump has been criticized for moving so fast on his executive orders, that in a sense he's "flooding the zone", making it impossible to scrutinize each action for its own merits. There's something basically wrong with that. Don't get me wrong, Americans were tired of the inaction of previous politicians..... but the saying "haste makes waste" has some bearing on this.

Well, obviously their means of torture haven't been 100% effective, since we're still on totally different sides regarding Madonna.
