The argument that you will need people from abroad to do the work needed is an argument that I really do not understand. British people can do most of the work needed to maintain a healthy and vibrant country. Asides from language teachers or cooks or things like that I am not sure who else you would need. Make the courses, train up the workers and just get on with it. Britain needs a bit more self confidence, all these doubts about being able to function with only British nurses etc. There are no British people working in hotels. They should at least have a quota of British staff. It is inverse xenophobia.

Well they shouldn't because it isn't beneath them. They are good jobs and certainly in the case of hotels and the costs there is no reason not to pay well and care is important and should be paid well too. See, that is where society is wrong. Hundreds of thousands to pointless directors and not enough to the ground.

My issue with foreign workers in hotels is more simple than that, Beanz. When I go to Japan it is always Japanese people in the hotel or beyond. I want to be in Japan, so I want to experience Japan. Same here, if I go to a motel it's expected that the people working will be locals. After years in pristine isolation, you go to England and you can't find any English people working anywhere. The hotels, the shops. It's a guy in the shop with a name tag 'Abdul' or something and I just don't know why it isn't a friendly old lady called Mavis. I've nothing against Abdul. I'm sure he is very nice, but I want to hear Mavis and her accent. I don't get to interact with English people very much. You walk around London and you swear that it is the Twilight Zone. It's very strange to see.

There is no reason why English kids cannot be computer programmers, care workers, all of these things. Kids in the UK need better guidance. I wish I had more guidance and some kind of role model. Oh yeah Master? Well you'll see how fast they'll take those jobs once the pay has to be increased much higher for British Nationals. You'll see how fast they take those jobs happily and cheerfully when they need to pay their rent and they earn several pounds per hour more than currently say for example Polish people are earning over there. I wonder if Scottish people are thinking about their mass vote against Brexit? They voted to remain in an EU where you seem to be forbidden from having an independence referendum

I agree, it is quite awful X. What makes a government think it has the right to occupy or govern anybody? If the state is rubbish then you should reject it. All the state has is force and it relies on people doing nothing to resist. In this instance people rejected the state and it is a model that elites don't want to see repeated. They won't let the people leave quietly. You see it with the UK too, but in a more subtle way. If you want to leave the EU then leave immediately and damn the consequences. I am all for self reliance. Grow your own food, build your own weapons and turn your back on mass concentrations of power. It's one reason Iceland is so excellent and the EU is rubbish. You need to know the names and faces of everyone in charge, have them within reach and be able to remove them quickly.

Cornwall and Devon were originally part of Wales. In 838 the West Welsh fought the Saxons at Callington about 30 mins over the border in Cornwall form where I live, but I digress. I have just had a friend return to Barca after coming back to Plymouth for Family business and he has posted up a video of Catalan Police having to protect a School from Spanish Police and their fascist tendencies. Nothing from the EU condemning it, but also nothing from the PM or Boris either. They are as bad, unconnected, bureaucratic as each other.

Nigel Farrage will be returning to UKIP which will be targeting Tories who have wilted from their duties in enforcing the will of the people. Should be a welcomed sight from the Labour perspective as May is injuring the Tory brand already.
