The point is GGG has always been willing to move up or down if moving down he will fight a guy too small or moving up he will fight a guy that isn't good enough. He's a hypocrite. Most all fighters will accommodate when facing a megastar. Canelo is nowhere near that. GGG is clearly better than Canelo and is the man to beat at middleweight. GGG has no reason whatsoever to go down to fight canelo.

Mayweather would bring huge exposure to GGG and he would become a household name if he were to beat Mayweather. He would also get a ton of money. Way more than if he fought Canelo. GGG has no other reason to move weight class.
