Really like the Julian Jackson vs Eubank match up. Who do you think wins that one? Jackson probably had a little more punching power and was a little more active, in my opinion. That being said, Eubank was very clever, and more importantly, HUGE for 160, where Jackson was really a good sized 154 pounder. I think it would be great for as long as it lasted, but see Eubank scoring the stoppage win eventually.

Spicoli- AWESOME call on Tapia vs Ham Johnson! Loved both guys, and think both were genuinely great fighters, although often underrated and overlooked due to their size. Tapia had the personality to become more famous, but Johnson was such a solid and great fighter, that it's a shame his lack of charisma held him back on the world stage. As much of a fan as I was/am of Johnny, I think Johnson would've won that one. It would've been extremely close, and a phenomenal fight, but I think Johnson was a great talent that only true fans appreciated (like Finito Lopez).

It's a tough call for sure. Real shame it never came off as seemingly all of the pieces were there and once Johnson moved up, conveniently Tapia moved up for a shot at Ayala. Johnson was brilliant and simply fought top notch opposition from beginning to end. When people speak of best speed and defense he is badly over looked. He wasn't a back foot prevent defensive guy and could sit in the pocket and feint a guy out of his shoes. He'd make you pay dearly. What he did to Arthur Johnson was just brutal!Still lean ever so slightly to Tapia in that one as Johnson did run into a few times where he would opt to bang. Both simply tremendous talents.

Tapia, in my opinion, was a born fighter. Some great fighters, like Lennox Lewis, are phenomenal and obviously love the sport (technical, competition aspects), but they don't ENJOY fighting. Tapia had serious skills, a RIDICULOUS engine, and absolutely LOVED being in a war. I can't think of another fighter who ever had as big a smile on their face in the middle of an absolute brawl. Wish he could've used that to fight his demons, such a horrible loss...

He was such a phenomenal fighter. I've never seen ANYONE control every aspect of a fight like Finito did. His punch selection was masterful, his balance was perfect, his accuracy was off the charts due to his precise punches, his footwork was flawless, his stamina was limitless, and his combinations were seamless. Everyone says JCC is the greatest Mexican boxer ever, and I understand why they feel that way (record, high profile fights...etc.), but I think that if they were the same size Finito would box circles around him and stop him late (and make it look easy). I was always a HUGE fan of Finito, but I would always wonder what would happen when/if he met his "one" fighter who had his number. Would he be able to gut it out? Reach down deep and fight in the trenches? Would be wilt? He proved his greatness by out-"toughing" his "one" in Rosendo Alvarez. What a great little fighter he was...

Alvarez took him the the brink. It was towards the end of Lopez' career. If anyone deserves to be claiming they are TBE it should be Lopez!
