Dunno, it's a fair point. Apart from the fact they're completely overlooking/disrespecting Billy Joe there is a chance of getting injured. Plus it's a quick turnaround for Golovkin to go back into training camp/promote the fight.

If the Billy Joe fight is such a pointless foregone conclusion why make it?

GGG wants to fight at home, it is an easy match to make and GGG will have another belt.

Why should Oscar/Canelo care what GGG's fight schedule is? It's obvious Oscar will use any excuse in the book to claim the fight has been "derailed." This is as transparent as it gets, and only diehard Canelo fans don't get it. If Team Canelo had been clamoring for a GGG fight from the beginning, this might be a bit more credible... but we all know that isn't the case.

Who cares about the belt, it doesn't make a jot of difference to the fight with Canelo. Everyone is already on board that Golovkin-Canelo is THE middleweight championship fight, Canelo is the lineal champ.

Whether or not you believe Oscar is making excuses to swerve Golovkin, his reasons are valid. He doesn't want to sign his fighter to something that could be scuppered, this is standard par for the course business in boxing.

Ditch the Billy Joe fight if it's so meaningless. Simple.

Who says the Billy Joe fight is meaningless? Team Canelo? Yeah ok.

Team Canelo's specialty is empty talk. Canelo calling out GGG after he beat Cotto? Empty talk.
Captain Fishnets claiming they were letting the Canelo-GGG fight "marinate" before making it? Empty talk.
Team Canelo insisting GGG come down to JMW when Canelo is perfectly capable of fighting at MW or above? Empty talk.
They can't fight at 160, but they can fight at 164.5, whatever the f*ck that means.

DLH's posturing is empty and indefensible. Pure and simple.

    No Oscar said the opposite.

Team Golovkin are disrepecting Canelo and Billy Joe for obvious/already explained reasons.

The only way BJS can prove he is being disrespected by GGG is by beating him.

Canelo has been disrespecting GGG for years now.

I am not a fan of Oscar's since he took the coward's way out with Tito and believe me if Oscar didn't he would begin eating solid food last year. They say that discretion heart of valor but cowards run fast especially greedy ones. Let me off the soapbox now. Oscar is playing a psychological of depriving GGG of a shot by saying he is flooding his datebook with other fights to avoid carrot top. Khan was a punching bag that hit back but easy to enhance his as far as I am concerned phony reputation at middle weight after facing Cotto who is ready for retirement. GGG's boxing ability was also brought forth by Jacobs who had great moves and Oscar wearing his best pumps took a shot hiding behind his last big meal ticket. It's just business isn't it Oscar but a psychologist, never! GGG is the real deal and Canelo better bring the wine.

It actually helped Golovkin not impressing against Jacob's to get the fight. It was a good showing against a cruiserweight but if Canelo thinks it was age then he is in for a ride surprise.
